I live in deep R country so I didn't bother voting, slightly regretting it since pushing Trump towards the popular vote would have been funny.

In my deep R area I had to park in gravel in a hastily expanded parking lot after the better part of a week of packed early voting that I avoided to let things calm down, waited for an hour vs basically walking in and out in 2020, and finally entered the voting area only to find out they had around double the machines filling the room entirely compared to 2020. Absolutely incredible scenes.

I do think, in a vacuum, he pulled a much better campaign in 2024 than he did in 2020.

It also helped that Biden had a horrific term, while Trump's term was mediocre, but comfortable, which gave him kind of a referendum vote.
