I was being at least a little bit ironic with what I wrote. Obviously some do educate people but the value of a college degree, even in the fields of science are a lot more debatable than they were previously. For doctors and lawyers and some fields it still kinda makes sense, but we're well past the internet age and the world's leading experts are random ass twitter accounts and chatGPT at this point in time.

For most arts degrees it hasn't made sense for a very long time.
