As a Californian, I don’t know anyone voting for her. I know people will, this state is lost, but there’s Trump flags all over the place.
I went to get my car serviced at the mechanic last week and there were Trump flags and photos in every desk AND the photo of the shooting on the desk.
There’s a lot of Trump support here, LA and SF are just too populated.

One thing in particular I wanted to write here is that I get the sense there is almost zero accountability in US politics. Both of these candidates have made huge, bold claims (lies) about what they're going to achieve in the next 4 years and I am certain that whoever wins they won't achieve barely fuck all of what they claimed they would. I have seen this be a common thing in most democracies too, not just the USA, that is for certain.

I have very little faith that Trump or Harris would deliver on most of the things they promised and that whatever song & dance went on during campaigning for the past few months was literally nothing but blowing the wind up the skirt of the population to try and get them to vote a particular way.

Whatever happens after the actual handover I am certain is going to be erratic and almost entirely unpredictable (especially with Trump since he seems to be more proactive than reactive, but that still doesn't mean he is going to meaningfully do anything about the issues at hand).

Given the current issues with inflation and spending, I very much doubt that Trump is going to be able to rein in spending in a meaningful way and change things that much.
