Random state observations:
VA - Harris up by 5.2%, not as close as it looked last night. GOP still has serious work to do in that state.
WI - Trump only won by 30k. RFK wasn't able to get off the ballot, and got 17.7k votes. He nearly blew it for Trump by jumping too late.
NH - Harris win by 3.1%. It was legitimately within striking range.
MI - allegedly, the Muslim vote in Dearborn mostly went to Jill Stein. She got 44k total across the state, and Trump is currently ahead by 93k. Assuming that was true, this mean the Muslim protest vote didn't
technically throw a swing state to Trump, but it was pretty close. If you add in "Muslims who would have voted Democratic but stayed home", it may have actually happened. (State turnout is up 1.6% from 2020.)
IA - Trump wins by 13.2%, wtf was that last poll
TX - Trump wins by 13.8%, the fabled Blue Texas pushed off yet again. I was a
long-term doomer there (
many times), but Trump's massive win with Hispanics, and potential mandate for mass deportations, will force me to revisit my doomposting.
