After some sleep and reflection, it occurs to me that Harris lost because she ran a campaign exclusively for the one group nobody likes: liberal white women and the simps who would raise their boyfriend's kids (who are a half step from being liberal white women so hard that we'll have to do an estrogen test on them to be sure).

Also, this election should be memorialized as how exactly to do everything wrong. Bad timing, bad messaging, out of touch imaging. Literally everything that could have been done wrong went wrong.

And, for the party that cares about representation, it's hilarious that representation was their downfall. Specifically, when Trump went to McDonald's and did a press conference from a garbage truck. There's no better way to say "I'm with the working people of this country" to contrast the way Kamala surrounded herself with celebrities.

And finally: I think maybe this will finally be the nail in the coffin of identity politics. The most powerful position in the world, and it was elected by working people, not snobby, snotty elites that are for some reason given license to abuse the people who don't fall in line with what their betters have to say.

This election is a game changer on a lot of levels.

These people were retarded enough to think that she was actually in the past a great prosecutor and public speaker. They constantly believed their own nonsense throughout the campaign. And in spite of all the bad ideas they eventually threw away (Remember "Kamala is Brat!"), the stuck with that idea of her prosecuting Trump right to the bitter end.
I have a theory Joe Biden realized the establishment* democrat politicians* had a serious case of (self-imposed) TDS and decided to scam everybody out of a presidential run by working that fear. Biden was a terrible politician, but he was also an excellent politician, if you know what I mean.

Looking back, perhaps losing in 2020 was for the best.

Trump now has the party behind him more than ever, and has full control of all 3 sectors of the government. Compared to 2020, had he won he would've lost the house and the senate, and there was still a ton of neocons in the administration.

Now we have people like RFK and Trumps support is higher than ever before in the party.
Yeah, the party is his now.
You can debate if the clean sweep was his achievement or the Democrat's failing, but he was the candidate who got them victories across the board.

I hope the last slime of the Bush era will get flushed out soon.

HAHAHHAHAHAH! Dude for real the democrats need to drop the Trans BS immediately. I'm in a very left leaning area and everyone is against it in secret. Nobody wants it, just everyone's afraid of getting cancelled and losing their livelihood over it, which I get. Its so batshit insane, I think it was a decent contribution to Trump winning. Its one of those issues you can't get a real feeling for unless its anonymous opinions or of course in the privacy of a polling booth...

Even the LGB are trying to push the T out, which I'm all for. They aren't related at all. Trans is 100% mental illness, crazy, degenerate delusion that has no grounding in reality. Man what a year 2024 was! So many woke / DEI failures in entertainment and politics. WHAT A WIN YES!!!!

100%. Obama legacy is destroyed and we already have insanely strong moves from the transition team.

This mandate is going to be crazy and move real fast. Not to mention turtle mitch is BTFO and he was a bigger issue then dems in Trumps first term.

"We owe our loyalty to the Constitution"

Why does your party keep trying to ignore it and remove amendments?

Destroying the constitution has been a linchpin of her ilk since Trump took office in 2016. Look at the reams of paper wasted on articles about how it was "time to go" and how it was "outdated" and "written by colonizers and racists" and on and on. Just like they do with cops, they'll spit on it and when they need to duck for cover that's the first place they go.

Well, fuck her. In two months she's back to suckin' dick for cock.

If what is said about Voter ID laws and Trump's victory is true, the GOP should try to get laws for that enacted in as many states as possible.
Naw. I mean I agree I would like to see other states adopt better practices but

The founding father thought so as well which is why they gave that power to the states and put it in the Constitution.
Tbh I was mainly thinking that if you can get it done state-by-state it'll both be harder to repeal AND any arguments against muh voter disenfranchisement fall flat on their face. It's just a way better cultural victory as well as legal.

Those moments I think will go down along with the assassination photo as the images that decided the election.

I'm still way back in the thread since it's moving so fast, so I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned it, but could Trump do what Biden did in 2020 and create an "Office of the President-Elect" and basically LARP as the president from now until inauguration day?
It's not a Larp. It's literally a transition team. And every President has to do it. They start getting security briefings. They start appointing their cabinet and staff etc.

Watching Kamablah's concession speech. She said she was proud of the campaign she ran and how she ran it. That's rough.
IMO Walz is the biggest looser here just by both of their initial facial expressions.
