I'm pretty sure that "tips" on fucking YouTube and Twitch wouldn't qualify the same as tips for waiters in a fucking restaurant.

There's almost zero chance. Like Ted Cruz has a bill written now that specifies cash tips. They're not going to pass a bill that applies to a 200k bracket and lets him write off 90% of his income.

I don't think you have an actual business degree to make claims like that.

These laws are clearly going to be enacted to cater to the 0.00001% of livestreamers who have 32 viewers and 3 tippers who give them $100k/year and not to waiters and waitresses working paycheck to paycheck in actual restaurants.

I seriously can't believe how bad his numbers are now. At least he can look forward to a small boost from politics for a couple streams but everyone will quickly find that boring and it'll die too. I know he can't think and is delusional but these numbers should be really scaring him.

EDIT: I guess I can give him credit for striking while the iron is lukewarm instead of cold on politics but obviously he should have been doing this all the way leading up to the election not waiting until after. I did think he'd wait until like February to do this but still very dumb. He has content for like 1 stream and then what will he talk about? The price of his midnight doordash orders dropping/raising? He just can't not fuck up anything he tries to do.

He’s more delusional than most people any of us have met, but there are limits. For example, all this talk of Khat being “smoking hot” has stopped. He knows she’s a fat mess.

It’s equally absurd to sit with 170 viewers, being unable to find a guest to come and sit with you for 30 minutes and think the general internet likes you. There’s no way he genuinely believes it.

I think the big difference compared to a few years ago is that he might've had really bad days with low viewers before but he definitely had far more actual "supporters" compared to now. If what people are saying is really accurate and it's only like 3 people propping him up right now then the reducing viewcount average + the fact he has less people giving meaningful "positive support" is very much cause for concern.

I don't think he'll do #dspolitics in the first place, so the idea that it might give a temporary boost is a moot point to begin with (by this, I mean him actually owning the concept and doing it with passion, effort and regularity - if he just does one or two #dspolitics streams then it doesn't even count).

I don't see any way he can obtain more dents ("open wallets") right now. People have warned him about this for ages though. The only way he can do an about turn is to become a regular guest on some podcast where he is not only welcome, but also fits in. But a "guest on a podcast" doesn't cut $100k/year in tips and subs, unless it is really a top like 5% of podcasts to begin with.

So in essence, these may actually be the end times for DSP.
