As a non American, if that is true, that's good to hear although I don't understand why it's not at a federal level.

Firstly, Abortion was being pushed as an election issue, so it's necessary to go over that, and why it was a massive fucking dud argument.

Secondly, the Constitution gives powers to the government, any power not explicitly given is thus given to the States. The U.S. is a bunch of States with an overarching government, not a singular Government with a bunch of states. If the Federal Government had the power in the first place regarding abortion, States would have been unable to make their own laws on the issue. Hope that clears things up!

I really think that the DNC (at least some members of it, if not the entire wing) knew that the Biden Administration did so many royal fuck ups that could have been avoided these past 4 years that they expected Teump to win.

2020 was a pyrrhic victory for them which i think they realize at this point (Hillary lost in 2016 and in order to course correct for that 2030 plan that's been floating around the internet for probably a decade at this point; except they turned up the heat too much and this is the result).

I just remember everything that went down when Al Gore lost and when Hillary lost. . . and a lot of the talk heads for the Democrats seem extremely subdue this time. It's as if they knew that a Trump victory, by a landslide, was extremely probable and wish to extend an olive branch to a man they have fucked with continuously since 2015.

And I don't think Trump is going to accept very many of these hypothetical olive branches that the DNC will give him because of how they've treated him for the past decade (and of the amount of strings that would probably be attached).

I don't know what will happen in the next 4 years but I hope it's funny and I can start affording groceries again.
