He’s progressive enough to completely befuddle your typical Democrat, while not going too far with it as to alienate himself from his party. Sorry you have to deal with those NPC talking points and surface level takeaways. It’s sad over 65 million people still voted for her, brainwashed. But it would be impossible to recreate a true landslide anywhere near what has been observed in the past so long as the partisanship remains the way it is, which it will for the foreseeable future. But by all means, Trump won a modern-day landslide. Not quite as great as Obama in 2008, but still, he won every swing state. The transgender issue rose to prominence precisely after the left won on gay marriage.

You had all these activists, all these fundraising networks, all this political machinery whose express purpose had just been achieved. If you are naive, you might expect them to say "Job's done, time to go home," shut it all down and go away. But instead, it all got funneled into the next gay marriage - trans rights.

I think many of the older ones were ready and willing to ride off into the sunset. It's the younger ones who grew up on the Stonewall tale, the White Night riots in SF and ACT UPs Ass Injected Death Sentence chimpout who want to make their mark on history.
