Burt is just like a lot of other autistic people, playing a character is easier for him than being 'himself'. He's much more confident as a character and you can see it in his uh, hobbies outside fishtank. I think it's just a surprising contrast between his awkward autist self and the characters he plays. Smack and Binx are also much more expressive and less awkward when they are behind a character mask.

Oh yeah that was a legendary character arc when she took Mizzys diary and handed it to Sam then cried for a day. Can't believe that slipped my mind.
