I've just realized something after thinking about it for a bit, politics are the new religion for some people in America. And no wonder the leftists treat the Islam with a white veil, because they act the same.

Willing to die for it, hating the other people who might differentiate from them, treating them like heathens, dehumanizing them in the process and don’t doubt that they would kill their rivals if they had the right to do so. They’re so emotionally invested in political candidates, treating them like flawless messianic saviors. And without a doubt, they chose poorly with Kamala Harris to have someone like that. To be fair, this also happens with Republicans, but it’s nowhere near the same level as with the Democrats.

Why do they have this level of emotional attachment? Why are they so reactionary if not because they see their political party as if it were their religion? Neither I, my family, nor my friends react this way when our political parties face defeats. At most, a sigh of frustration and an intense feeling of unease. But never to the extent of having a mental breakdown, insulting everyone on social media, pointing fingers, and threatening opponents with death.
