Am I being overly naive to think the election results probably had little to nothing to do with how people feel about troons, because the issue is predominantly the concern of a relatively tiny percentage of terminally online people (like us) and TikTok zoomers too young to voot?
It shouldn't have, but it actually probably did. Troonshit riled up Trump's voters and seriously dampened enthusiasm for an administration that has relentlessly pushed this fringe issue.

That's the whole point of a wedge issue, except in this case, troonery really isn't that popular on either side of the aisle, especially when you get into shit like overt, open child grooming and sexually mutilating children and putting male rapists in women's prisons so they can have a ready source of more rape victims.

For some reason, people don't cotton to that shit.
I'm not American so I can only speculate, but if was resident in the land of the rising burger I'd be way more annoyed about the Biden administration dragging the country into 2 wars and wrecking the economy than whether or not the dude boxing women at the Olympics was actually a dude or not.
I think it's less that most people give a shit about troons, other than culture warriors and places like this that have been directly attacked by troons and more that while the economy has been tanking and the working class has been taking a D in the A every fucking day, these clowns have been obsessively focused on lunatic fringe nonsense like pushing troonery instead of stuff that matters.

I thought the same thing, but apparently Trump was running massive amounts of ads about troons (I say "apparently" because I missed them; they mostly played during televised sports and other things I wasn't tuning into) and they were extraordinarily popular. The New York Times just ran a piece on it:
In my local media market they also ran in heavy rotation during news broadcasts; morning shows like Good Morning America, The Early Show, and Today; and (lol) The View.

The idea that Orange Hitler, according to Anthony Reed, will be shutting down passports so that trans people can't leave America.

I know I'm dumb. I get it. And I guess I'm just so dumb I don't understand why a demographic I allegedly hate and don't want in my country, I will do my best to prevent any of them leaving my country.

It's so he can put them into concentration camps, obviously. Because genocide etc.

In another article I read on the matter, it said that the Trump campaign produced three versions of the same ad, which were aimed at 1) the general population, 2) black males, and 3) Spanish speakers. I think the following are the ads (I also didn't see any, but that's a matter of geography in my case!), and if so, I must admit they're pretty well done.

1) Aimed at normal people (ad spot: "Access")
2) Aimed at black men (ad spot: "For They-Them")
3) Aimed at Spanish speakers (ad spot: "Disparates")

I'm hoping this works to attach local versions of them, but I've never done it with videos before!

“Kamala is for they/them. President Trump is for you”
Gotta be honest that line is absolute fire. His team really are good at slogans.

Such is the lot of the perpetual victim. It must be exhausting having to juggle this many narratives.

Yeah that’s a banger if I ever heard one. Even Bill Clinton knew that was a killer and I’ll bet Carville wishes it was one of his.

They’ll never admit as much of course, in part because Clinton is cowed by his lunatic daughter’s support of all things troon. I’m surprised she hasn’t they/them’d one of the grandkids yet.

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to collect them.

Those are some masterful ads. Particularly the visual side of them, putting Kamala next to those giant grotesque crossdressers and then contrasting it with Trump being normal. Really hits on a visceral level. And using Kamala's own words so there was no denying that she actually said it.

The people pushing the transgender industrial complex were relying on social stigma and fear to keep all criticism outside of the Overton window. Mentioning autogynephilia was off limits, questioning surgery was off limits, making fun of pronouns was off limits. Then some candidates came along who didn't give a fuck (I use the plural because I think Vance is behind this more than Trump is) and now all they know how to do is point and splutter and call them Nazis. Which is hilarious because that's what they were doing to everyone anyway.

Vance talked at length about autogynephilia on fucking Joe Rogan, for god's sake. The cat's out of the bag. Things are not looking bright for the churnsgenders.

hell you might not be getting your #girljuice at all. Which I would actually protest, as fucking deserved as it might feel, because you're an adult and should be allowed to do what you want with your body, even if it is retarded.

We don't let the mentally ill own guns, why should we let the mentally ill medicate themselves in retarded ways?

There were probably no more than 10 people there.

Furthermore,. why are these two retards celebration in MISSOURI? Zack was elected in MONTANA.

Remember, mentally ill men in dresses are the biggest victims of President Orange Hitler.

the seething is beyond the pale and way past the veil of any acceptable reaction to losing an election, also it cannot be overstated how much they think state legislatures passing harsher laws for people who rape kids is persecution

For transgender Americans, Trump’s win after a campaign targeting them is terrifying

. . .

Erin Reed, a transgender activist and independent journalist who has written extensively about the trans community, said there is “a lot of despair” out there among queer people.

“I’m not going to sugarcoat it: I had to talk three or four people down from suicide,” Reed said of conversations she‘d had on election night. “That’s the reality that people are facing right now.”

Many transgender people are already “very unsafe” living in Republican-controlled states that have passed sweeping anti-trans measures in recent years, Reed said, including bans on gender-affirming healthcare, on transgender people using bathrooms that match their identities, on queer-affirming books, and on processes that allow transgender people to update state documents such as driver’s licenses.

Now, Reed said, transgender people around across the country — including in blue states — are wondering whether Trump and his newly empowered Republican colleagues in the upcoming Congress will be able to pass similar measures at the federal level.

Those in the trans community are also worried that Democrats will abandon them now based on a perception that defending them is too costly politically, Reed said; they’re wondering, “How do we manage to not get thrown under the bus?”

Gender markers is such a silly concept. Having a document that says I am a purple flying uniciron would mean absolutely nothing because it is objectively not true. The same is true about any document saying that Tony is a woman.

What's the context to this?
Am I being overly naive to think the election results probably had little to nothing to do with how people feel about troons, because the issue is predominantly the concern of a relatively tiny percentage of terminally online people (like us) and TikTok zoomers too young to voot?

I'm not American so I can only speculate, but if was resident in the land of the rising burger I'd be way more annoyed about the Biden administration dragging the country into 2 wars and wrecking the economy than whether or not the dude boxing women at the Olympics was actually a dude or not.
Also remember that the troon issue isn't just about troons. Once a politician starts spouting obvious lies about one thing ("men can get pregnant", "this crossdressing man is a woman") people are going to start trusting them less about everything else, even if the first thing wasn't that important to them.

And if a politician holds one ridiculous extremist position ("it's okay for men to beat up women in a boxing ring as long as their passport says they're female") how can you trust them not to hold other ridiculous positions that will come out later, after they're elected? What are they going to do with the economy or foreign policy if their beliefs are that bizarre and detached from reality?
This I think was the biggest influence troonery had in the election.

The thing is, no one knew Kamala's platform. She said basically nothing and was super evasive about how she was going to distinguish herself from Biden. (At least that I heard, maybe I missed it.)

Trump? He's a known quantity. He ran the country before and was fairly competent at it. We had no significant international conflicts (hell Trump brought Arab countries and Israel to the negotiating table), the economy did well. All it cost us was Trump being a little mouthy and unpresidential on Twitter. Totally worth it, imho.

So when the only issue we have to evaluate Kamala on is her goofy approach to the gender nonsense, it definitely has an outsized influence on voter's impressions, even if they don't necessarily care all that much about troonery for its own sake.

This was my impression too, and it's backed up by all the malding posts I've seen from my normie friends claiming Kamala lost because America doesn't want a female president, which sounds an awful lot like what they said about Hillary in 2016.

I couldn't tell you a single thing about Kamala's policies or her as a person --and judging by how she occasionally raceswaps herself neither could she-- and I'd bet my right nut the majority of her supporters are in the same boat. I dunno if the Dems just got cocky or lazy but I am very interested to see who they're gonna go with in 2028, because I'm remaining optimistic all this identity politics shit will be dead by then.
