Forgot to post, but I found some interesting things in that leak website I found.

One of them was an alleged reason by a Russian (translated to English), who I presumed had some part in the production, on how the leaks happened in the first place. Take them with a massive grain of salt, though. But again, I'm not surprised if it is true.

I always thought the big twist for Pentious would be that the eggboys are actually the souls of people who died because of him. Maybe there was a preventable accident on one of his projects that left them with head injuries—hence the cracks on their shells—and he kept them around out of guilt or pity.

The setup could be something like: Pentious is working on a big job, gets a letter about stricter safety regulations, but he’s too strapped for cash to make the changes (greed). He ignores it, the accident happens, and the workers end up dead. So he ends up in hell, not for anything he did outright, but because of his negligence. Maybe he’d eventually have to face his greed to redeem himself and ascend.

It would make a lot of sense if the eggboys represented people who mattered to him, given how much he cares about them. Unless, of course, they somehow tie back to the victims of Jack’s crimes. Maybe they're the dead prostitutes he saw get murdered? I think one of the characters sexed the Eggs at one point and saw one wasn't male? I dunno—but if that’s not the case, I’m not really sure what their overall purpose is.

What is with new media being so obnoxious about swearwords? Shows like Yellowstone and Hasbin Hotel have so many swearwords it's annoying. How can someone listen to fuck this fuck that after every single sentence? I remember when I thought GTA 5 was obnoxious about swearwords, but these shows today make it look like a Christian movie.

I dunno if this was pointed out here, so sorry if it was, but its very easy to notice how Viv allows her fans to push her around. One doesnt need to look far and just point at Stolitz, a couple that only got more attention to constant shipping by fans and thus becoming main focus of the show (and Stolas character getting a hard R reboot), same can be said with Pentious and Cherry bomb. From what I recall in the pilot, was implied Pentious had a family, but in the show they're absent because again of the CherrixPentious shipping, so I wouldnt be surprised if HuskerDust will be made canon as well.

Speaking of which and this bugged for a while, where is Purgatory in all this? Like, shouldnt that be where Pentious and Husk reside? Cause their "sins" arent something that makes it like they need to share a dinner table with Alastor, Valentino, Vox or even Angel Dust.

Purgatory is a mostly Catholic concept, and isn't accepted in other Abrahamic religions. In death, your soul is drawn closer to God, or away into a place of eternal damnation.

There are some Abrahamic religions that make the argument that the distance between a soul and God's grace is determined based on their deeds in life and exists on a spectrum, but most don't do that. It's either with God or Hell.

Although Catholicism does have a spectrum in heaven, particularly with Saints and the Virgin Mary. It's why Intercession is a thing.

Hell itself isn’t even really mentioned in the Bible, it’s mostly Dante’s fanfiction. The closest is Sheol which isn’t really Hell as we know it, it’s more like purgatory, or the gate outside a party that you weren’t invited to

You are correct. Hell is not described as being a place with a structure or a culture of any kind. It's just a place of suffering lacking the mercy and grace of God. The flames, fowl odor and lack of water are just one aspect of that concept.

Looking back on it you are correct. Saints only exist in Catholicism/Orthodox, and saint Peter is a character in Hazbin.

Which, honestly they could have said how theres souls in Purgatory that been there for so long, they like get moved to hell because they havent seen what errors they committed, they could have made it how because Heaven is a paperwork nightmare, documents get lost or something like that.

I don't think it's a case of fans pushing her around so much as fans working as uncredited writers. I want to give credit where it's due, some of Viv's ideas are very much her own, but there's also a lot of stuff that she's clearly taken from other sources. I can't remember which character it was (I want to say vaggie?) but they were straight up purchased from one of her friends back in the day. I think a lot of characters and concepts are stuff she's absorbed from other creators, and she's talked about her various forms of inspiration as well.

It's pretty clear Viv isn't good at planning, I think she has loose concepts for very specific characters, but the rest is sorta flying by the seat of her pants, so if she hears something she thinks is cool from fandom, she'll make it canon. Maybe the only instance of outright bullying is the stuff with Alastor's race, and even that was pretty soft bullying as far as tumblr stuff goes.

In moderation, I don't think it's the end of the world. Viv certainly wouldn't be the first creator who took ideas from fan theories and ran with them, or relied on multiple people to come up with characters/took heavy inspiration from another source. But when you see how shallow VIv's work is and how much of what actually happens seems to be the result of fan input, it becomes more of an issue. The lack of creativity is easily one of the biggest issue with Viv's work. You have all these fascinating and cool settings/ideas that are set up, and then nothing is done with them or they outright contradict one another or plain don't make sense at all.

Part of the problem is Viv is all style and no substance. She really likes the visual look of heaven and hell and, at a very surface level, seems to like some of the ideas. But it's in the broadest sense that basically boils down to "in name only". And instead of digging deep into any of those things that look cool, she'd rather move on to the next cool thing. Again, I'll try and give her some credit, she'd be an okay "idea guy" in a team, but really doesn't work as a writer, let alone a lead. She needs someone else to take her ideas and expand on them, and in many cases, fans ultimately end up doing this for her.

Not really, because Purgatory would defeat the entire purpose of the hotel. Remove the “Let’s reclaim hell for the gays”, the concept is that Princess of Hell wants to get not so immoral souls into heaven via her hotel. The thing is, if Purgatory is a place for those souls. It’s a waiting room with only one exit, heaven, thing is you need to wait until your name is called, and that can take from 5 seconds - End of Time. The thing is though, it’s not a matter of if, but when.

If that realm exists in the context of the show, the Charlie’s idea is SUPER stupid, because the redeemable souls that were found not worthy of heaven but undeserving of hell have a place now, so who is she really trying to redeem? It would literally be the irredeemable.

Taking into your what ifs, there’s a problem with the latter, because, again, there’s a place that acts as her hotel, even if they trip into the land of Damnation, there would have to be some system in place that determines they belong there, and it may turn from Hazbin Hotel to Hazbin Taxi Service. The goal would be get them into Purgatory and then have them wait their turn. For the former though, it causes issues with the Adam is super bad for exterminations. Adam can now just say “We gave these fuckers a second chance, and even when we laid bare their sins before them, they refused to change. They chose their sins over paradise. We are not giving them a third chance now.” Suddenly, he’s making a ton of sense, and Charlie‘s stand against them is no longer heroic, it’s rebellion and she now just another Morningstar, and what are they great at? Rebelling.
