I'm not a professional, but maybe it's not a good idea to tell a group of suicidal people that their suicide is reasonable... That is, if you want to prevent that suicide, which I'm assuming they do if they don't want the party to dissolve in a few days.

Preserving his legacy is definitely on his mind, and frankly it’s probably gonna work. Even in this thread look how quickly people are accepting his face-turn. I think part of it is that his story arc is genuinely compelling, by FAR the best-written antagonist of the trilogy. Between the dementia, being betrayed by the party he dedicated his entire life to, and then turning Dark Brandon and revenge-stabbing them in the back… it’s just so fucking kino. I can’t even really hate him for what he did to the country, because in hindsight it’s clear that things had to get worse before they can get better. It’s only thanks to Joe that Trump was able to make the glorious triumphant return that he did, with a mandate to fuck shit up and the dream team to make it happen.
A great story needs great heroes AND great villains. Joe… just might be one of the greatest.

we had a family member cut us off not for supporting trump, as we publically do not share our views on things for them to figure us out, but because we were not actively posting pro-globohomo stuff. My dad got lectured by this person for not crying about putin invading ukraine on facebook as the invasion started during a family vacation (and my dad doesn't post political / news stuff anyhow)
they came crawling back a month later when we just went "uhh ok?". I guess they were expecting us to beg them to stay in our lives and immediately start professing our devotion to globohomo to stop them from axing us..... but in reality we were already getting sick of their constant histrionic behavior and were actually somewhat relieved we wouldn't have to hear their insane ramblings about drumpf or putin or whatever for a bit.

If you truly went all in with Voter IDs and searched every inch of the country for fraudulent ballots, this would probably be the likely outcome. The biggest whitepill of all is knowing just how miniscule the overall Democrat voterbase truly is, and that a majority of the country fucking hates these monsters.

Lets think about it as if Trump is a master negotiator who has literally made negotiating his brand for 70 years.
Can he realistically go after Hunter? Even with both the Senate and the House (provided they don't steal it), can he honestly get them to go after Hunter? Is it likely or not that they've destroyed all the evidence by now? Will there be moles that fuck with the case or even throw it? Is it worth his time to go after them, when he has an economy that WILL be in a depression day 1, with marxist indoctrination and domestic terrorist cells throughout the US, with election tampering that has to be stomped into the ground NOW, not in 2 years, but NOW?
No. He can't go after Hunter. Not really. He could bluster about it. Threaten it. Maybe even get it started. But Hunter's beyond his punishment outside of Hunter's laptop being stolen by two armed thugs and Hunter accidentally being shot twice in the back of the head during the scuffle. And Trump isn't Clinton and isn't going to do that.
So if Hunter's out, then pardoning Hunter is free. Trump isn't giving up a case. He's giving up maybe a little social or political capital -- his base won't like it, but the establishment GOPe and RINOs will. But he can talk to his base, make it all about Unity, a wink and a nudge and him mentioning that Biden is pardoning him and the Jan 6ers, and they'll figure it out.
What CAN Trump do that would "shake the box" and open up new avenues?
Well, if I was Trump, I'd start heavily implying, via rumor perhaps -- since the left and the uniparty are going to be doing their best to get his admin to leak like a cheesecloth, and Trump can and has weaponized this before -- that Trump "bought" Biden's silence via a pardon of Hunter... Joe... and Jill. Yes, Trump should pardon Jill Biden and make NO COMMENTS about why he did it. Just a smile and discussion of Unity and how it's all water under the bridge and thanking Joe for the pardon and stressing his great handoff to Trump in the last few months of his admin.
Make the Q-Libs think that Biden literally sold Kamala out in order to save his own ass. The fracture in the Progressive wing and the Establishment wing that would cause would never heal.

I would've just told him "Sucks to be you" when telling about cutting ties. These are miserable people, and they will end up alone and miserable, and they will question themselves "Why people doesn't talk to me anymore?" without a shed of self-awareness.

eh they came crawling back begging for forgiveness for their behavior and now they stfu about politics now that they realize we have nothing to say to them about it so we are good to be on good terms. They're in their 80s so they're old and confused in part about the world. We don't want to sink to their level so we will even be seeing them sometime next year for a visit and their recent insanity doesn't wash out all the good times and good deeds they did for us prior to 2016.
ultimately I feel pity for them and others like them. The real criminal and bad people are the people on MSNBC or CNN who used the credibility they built up prior to trump to make millions of americans mentally ill like this. I rest the blame solely on the journalists for this.

I am willing to be magnanimous in victory towards ole' scranton joe. I think everyone can be redeemed if they really try but even if his only motivation is to get revenge on pelosi I am willing to forgive and forget even biden's worst crimes. Ultimately it wasn't even really him in power anyhow, he was a puppet of the people in his cabinet like mayorkis or sullivan and the like. And I'm sure it was largely obama and them pulling the strings. I highly doubt biden was making any real decisions or was even capable of doing so
I truly hope biden comes out arm and arm with trump after this lunch they're supposed to have, do a true unity thing. If his last actions would be in part to heal the wounds his admin has caused these last 4 years I can respect it. No point in kicking the man while he's down, he's already been humiliated by his own party more than anything we could do and will be dead in a decade or so anyhow.
Such a thing would be good for everyone involved. It reduces partisan tensions, Joe can enjoy his retirement, Trump looks like a merciful ruler and not the vengeful dictator they claim him to be, and we in the audience get some kino.

That's how I feel about the whole thing as well. I just can't bring myself to hate Joe anymore after this election. Guy was just a mere pawn in the game and his big jolly smile yesterday gave me the vibe of someone who has broken free from his master. I hope he gives Trump some important info on the enemy as a last act of defiance as well. Its just incredible what is unfolding.
