This custom flatbed truck is said to have been created by mounting the cab of a 1968 International Harvester Loadstar 1600 to the chassis and powertrain of a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 dually pickup. Power is from a 5.9-liter Cummins turbodiesel inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and the cab is finished in green over tan vinyl upholstery. Additional equipment includes 24″ aluminum wheels, front disc brakes, a wood bed floor, a gooseneck hitch, a receiver hitch, chrome exhaust stacks, a bed-mounted Craftsman toolbox, and an extended-length shifter. This custom truck is offered with a Massachusetts title in the seller’s name listing the vehicle as a 1968 International Harvester Flat.

The cab is finished in green, and the LED exterior lighting can be illuminated green by toggling a switch in the cab. The wood-floor flatbed features a gooseneck hitch and a diamond-plate Craftsman toolbox, and additional equipment includes side steps, a receiver hitch, rear mud flaps, and dual chrome exhaust stacks. Corrosion on various cab panels is displayed in the gallery.

The 24″ aluminum wheels are said to have been custom-fabricated for this application and are secured with spike-style lug nuts. A set of Lionheart LH-TEN tires were installed in preparation for the sale. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes, and the seller states front suspension components were replaced during the build.

The bench seat is trimmed in tan vinyl and joined by an extended-length shifter, a heater, manual-crank windows, and IH-branded floor mats.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames an aftermarket 140-mph speedometer as well as a combination gauge for voltage, fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows 0 miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 5.9-liter Cummins turbodiesel inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through an NV4500 five-speed manual transmission. An oil change was recently performed.
Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.

The truck is titled in Massachusetts as a 1968 International 1600 Flatbed using the VIN shown above.

Photos taken at various stages of the build are presented in the gallery.
