With most cows there's something they can hide behind. Something like, "they can't help it", "they were born that way", "they're being enabled/ manipulated by their community", "they're harmless", etc. None of this applies to Andy. because it is ridiculously hard to get anyone placed in a mental ward or facility, it takes A LOT of red tape, and in a blue state like NY they leave it ''up to freedom of choice, and the whole ''people need/have the right to be included in the community and be in the least restrictive environment'' -- no, an unstable mentally ill person is by default is incompetent and is usually not capable of making the choice to get help, they cant think rationally, nor do they have the ability to navigate a very convoluted inaccessible system ( again, the red tape and run-arounds) however: Andy ditch is abusive, hesa fraud/low-ball con artist, which are crimes and he is dangerous, he has endangered his elderly parents numerous times, he endangers others by misusing services that could be helping and assisting someone in real need - yes, he should be one that is just snatched up and placed in a mental facility, but no... they wont do it, and new York does still have a few mental facilities open, but again, it takes judges orders and a load of process to get someone committed.

I think @CowPox ment if someone told Andy that they were going to beat his ass, pull a knife on him or otherwise outright threaten to kill him, put him in a REAL fight-or-flight response situation.

I wonder this myself. My first instinct is to say he'd pull a Chris-Chan "hedgehog defense" and just curl up into a wimpering little ball of fear and beg for his life.

He surely can't run from anyone not fatter then he is and I just don't see him trying to fight back if someone smacked him around. Ultimately he's just a fat bully who abuses with his words more then his actions.
