Trump's case against Maher eventually got tossed out of court, but Maher spent a couple million on legal fees to lawyers fighting the suit and later claimed that Trump's lawyer told Maher and his lawyer, when the case got dismissed, that Trump didn't care if he lost as the whole point of suing was to bleed Maher financially via lawyer fees.
