Sam has always been pretty anti-audience, and from what I understand it's part of his thing. It doesn't work at all for something like Fishtank though.
The show always runs better and is more respectful of the audience when Sam is there. It seems like the more invested he the better the show as a whole is. He's never been on camera laughing about tts ear raping the viewers because the speaker is too close to the camera or laughing because they made the viewers waste their time like the wiggers do.

Sam takes things too far sometimes but he's infinitely smarter and better than Goron. I don't think it's a coincidence that this season has had the most Sam involvement and its also the one that has went the most smoothly.

Sam also seems to genuinely like the cast this season. He's actually hanging out and being himself with them when he's not playing his character or torturing them with his sweaty body odor. The previous seasons (other than 2.5) he really didn't show as genuine interest in the fish. Previously his interest felt feigned, such as a TJ hero arc.

He has also been cracking more and breaking character, almost daily.

You're right that the show works a lot better whenever Sam is on, but I'm not convinced that he would be good as a showrunner. The wiggers' caution is actually good here I think.

Tbf Burt and Alex are totally fucking wild and more likeable than people like Jimmy or fatty, while still being entertaining. These people are just more outgoing than your average 20y/o neet in S1, with S2 contestants not being a whole lot better. This is what happens when you get a real casting thing and get real people

yeah people hate jet bc friendtank but idk they have a house full of normies so you have to have some of that.
jet is carrot and sam is stick and you need both

All the things the show is poking fun at are male-brained because it's drawing from an exclusively male entertainment reference space, and there is something to be picked up there by people in the thick of it. The intention is the usual fare of putting something on the show that the audience knows to be a joke, but it's actually a really obvious show of hand to a thinking participant with an internal monologue, or five. The exclusive maleness of the unthinking input on the part of producers is tangible. It's the creative input and ideas you'd expect from a brain doesn't have a significant woman in their life to moderate it (corrupt it, ptfui) with feminine notions and entertainment. If they had gfs, we'd get cool shit like cooking competitions.
You can also tell Bex hasn't been involved with the show yet, when she's around you do get a bit of that female touch, not a lot because the wiggers tend to overpower it but it's there. They really need a regular female member of the crew to help balance out the testosterone.

age is probably mostly it. they're in the same generation as sam and aren't some fanboy or fangirl zoomer. Sam mostly talks down to people in his content and when he doesn't have to like on the podcast he's fucking thriving.

exactly, if you only advertised to zoomer shut ins of course you won't get good picks, even the most charismatic 22 year old shut in like letty is still lacking when it comes to being entertaining because they don't have the life experience to do it. meanwhile the type of weirdo a casting agency would find would obviously be able to fill 6 weeks of content by himself in a bedroom just talking and jerking off. like i do know plenty of 19 year old crazy outgoing types like Alex, but guess what, they aren't fucking watching Sam Hyde videos. they're out doing shit like flipping their cars doing stunts or hanging out with monkees or going viral at sports events by acting like a dumbass.

As much as I enjoyed Friendtank, I'm glad everyone else doesn't let Jet have full control.
Like with eliminating contestants, there's just too many unknowables to what would happen if the balance of the push and pull of the producer's tendencies was different or if one was completely out as far as setting the direction goes. People show patterns of behaviour that seem to path ways they can't help but go, so we project where they will be, but they have also unexpected ways of stepping up to the plate once they get the true opportunity to. It's probably an impossible proposition, but there's a possibility a solely Jet run Fishtank would struggle until, in the process of struggling, it'd morph into something beyond expectations, beyond friendtank - a super-friendtank. I think we've seen this happen in small ways even in the current configuration of producers with what the previous seasons were, when the story is told.

The lamers aren't that obvious candidates for elimination. Holding on to the "favourites" could very well be stifling the ones who are seen to not be able to fill the shoes of the overbearing presences and favourites of the tank, similarly to holding on too dearly to the configuration of producers as is, or even parts of the show itself (counting rice, the cell, hassle, fatty etc). But because the selection is interfered with so much, we don't get to see it play out truly. It took 2.5 for Brian to bear fruit. He probably could've shone during season 2, if what was imposed had been different.
9/10 times the lamers are exactly the lamers they seem to be, though, so is it even worth it? Probably not, it's ultimately a money printing enterprise, so if the producer's touch is to be felt, it better be the good kind. The notion is so compelling, though, that they couldn't help but manufacture it for season 2 with TJ lol.

Now they're talking conspiracies with Jobe and Alex is egging him on. Jobe is redpilling him on the Mudflood.

For those of you who don't know what that is, basically there was this ancient we wuz kangz civilization called Tartary that built all the old buildings. They were like this globe, uh sorry, FLAT EARTH spanning empire but then a giant flood of mud buried their buildings halfway and "THEY" erased Tartary from history. Then the Jewluminatti reoccupied their buildings while lying about their origin.

The "proof" of this is old maps showing a land called Tartary in the Russian far east and the fact the old brick building basements have windows.

La'ron Sneed aka GayNigger's instagram live fresh off leaving the show

Favorite part is that he hopes Binx wins. Big fuck you to Payton.

Lexi said the same thing in her live, that Binx was always her favorite fish and hopes she wins. Ron also said he left because production was letting TTS say "the n-word constantly y'all", and suggested that they just didn't show it on camera. This frumpy queen never even heard the TTS say nigga, he only heard about it secondhand from Burt.

There was some cheeky "vinegar" TTS early on in the cell, I remember hearing. If I heard it, he probably heard it.
