This is such bullshit.
Tons of kids grow into adults who say "I'm really glad you didn't let me get that stupid haircut/JNCO jeans/wigger bling, look at these insane yearbook photos with the kids who did that shit."
I also know a lot of adults who are glad their parents shut down their various "phases" as kids. Destructive phases are common. Bad influences are common. Most adults with parents who took a proper view of authority thank them at some point for a restriction imposed upon them as children that they once found draconian. When you later learn why mom and dad didn't let you go to that one house for sleepovers, or someone who was at that party they wouldn't let you go to got roofied, all of a sudden it's a big "ohhhhh."
These kinds of people don't thank their parents for anything and never grow out of the resentful child role where they think more freedom to be self-destructive is critical, and imagine that they will always be lifted back out from the inevitable hole they dig themselves into by some kind savior.
Really, people like Guillaume just put their fanbase into the role of parents who will let you get away with anything. "Hey times are tough can I have a little money?"

Hey, good(?) thing that there's a higer than normal chance of Russians attacking here. At the point briges start getting blown up, civilian vehicles being taken for support operations and private lands are getting government contractors building trenches and bunkers (all things that can and will happen in case government gets spooked enough), identity politics are the last thing on social discourse.

I was genuinely surprised that Billy was not only a lot closer to the Russian border than I thought, but also further than the boonies than expected. I thought he was in like, Rovaniemi at most. No wonder he’s so miserable between everything. He’s stuck in a dilapidated, freezing schoolhouse with a roid rage pooner wife and no real easy option to get out of the house even if it’s to stuff his face. Whomp whomp.
