Why would they, or you, not just say that in the post? It looks suspicious when a new account makes a 1 word post, drops links, and goes inactive for days almost instantly after posting.
In fact I feel most people enjoy pointing things out but the fault comes from the internet "black and white" logic with most infuriating people. Since they see negativity as hate and positivity as praise even if the context of why those things are being shown can be different. Nowadays we are well over a decade (if you wanna count GamerGate as the first time in the mainstream eyes) into politics being pushed so heavily in entertainment that people are just disillusioned. Folks are tired of woke this, woke that, anti this, anti that even if we are all noticers it's just tiring to see a discourse for everything you just want to see people excited for and let it exist as just a cool product.

Both the "*insert game* was always woke" and "*insert game* is good because it's not woke" sides are tiresome. The former's more obvious and retarded but the latter's way more insidious since they're always ready to betray the better pattern-recognizers, eg. Mauler/Efap towards Synthman on God of Woke Ragnarok. Like I've played Fallout New Vegas since its release and it's still one of my favorite games but the loads of female NCR soldiers was hard to ignore. Compare that to Fallout 4 which was just ass in gameplay and story, and had loads of DEI in the writing that you needed Krogan's DEI-erasing mod to make it bearable. The so-called 'antis' barely report the juicier parts of slop and often pretend to be longtime fans of certain franchises.

It was after his Baldur's Gate 3 Video. Synth is a big D&D nerd, I even remember him soying out and show his 5th Edition D&D Lore book. Even though it's quite woke with all the black elves and dwarf women, he still brought it lamo. I don't really get it to be honest, but I think I can understand it better after playing Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.
Not too familiar with D&D but I get it. He did say in the BG3 review to avoid it if you don't have a high tolerance for the DEI propaganda since it's quite excessive (though maybe not as much as Dragon Age Failguard?). Not sure if he bought BG3 specifically but yeah Synth has a habit of buying terrible woke games rather than pirating them. I wouldn't call it not principled since he monetizes the mockery out of it so you don't have to buy it yourself. Kinda like with the Dustborn streams. Raising the black flag will still always be the more moral choice though
It's easy for peolpe to retroactively go back and say this was always woke and this wasn't woke. The same thing with people who go "gaming was always political insert games like Metal Gear here" Like how most people think I believe the term has been overused, watered down, and bastardized by both of the radical sides in their holy war against each other. That doesn't discount the fact that some games need to be called out and it isn't like either side can't be right. One of my favorite franchises is Bioshock and Infinite has a heavy emphasis on fundamentalist zealotry, racism, extreme nationalism, etc.
And it's also all the manipulation in thinking what you had before was always like this so the discourse is justified. I am positive kids in the 80s, 90s and 2000s didn't argue over whether a game was woke or political and i grew up in the 2000s. Entertainment was still relatively separate and wasn't too effected by what was going on in the world but thanks to the 2010s they're almost synonymous. We can't go a foot without a dev freaking tf out about Trump or what some random said about their corny game. It's just tiring that people can't keep their discourse to themselves it makes trying to have any discussion about any video game a wooden experience when most of the talking is about whether or not a game should be going "twans wights" and then you got the Stellar Blade effect as i call it where people were singing this at best decent game because the boring MC is actually attractive don't get me wrong but outside of that the game wasn't gonna break any grounds. It's sad because the game could have been a sleeper hit but once again the discourse peolpe made almost any discussion about the game annoying.
Pretty good way of putting it since neither side have no real stakes in fixing anything but pretend they need to. Once the well of money from the industry and the background players puppeterring things with strings dry up things will go back to "normal" industry garbage rather than industry garbage with more idpol as the current trend to exploit for profit.
