Which, as well-written and not as spergy as the TLL articles had been, was still inaccurate regarding legalities of patient's rights.

Jaden was a minor, runaway or not, and as such constituted as a liability to the hospital if anything happened that was self-applied. Had Jaden been 18 and over, he could simply walk out, but he did not have any power while in the ward(nor did his friend).

That poor kid. I cannot believe Greta permitted a fourteen year old child, who even before the hospitalization clearly has had a turbulent time of it, to answer calls for a suicide hotline. Greta has proven herself to be the scum of the earth again and again and yet this still shocks me. From all I have seen of Jaden, he is a hardworking, amiable kid and Greta has exploited him in a way that should be illegal, if it isn't already.

Jaden really is a nice kid. He doesn't deserve scrutiny beyond commenting on TLL's ridiculous use of a teenager in their offices and on their phone lines. This is an intolerable abuse of authority on Greta's part. I am so happy she did not raise her daughter and abandoned her son - leaving them out of her life is really the kindest thing she could have done for those kids.

To be honest though, even if I'm enjoying this as much as any of you I'm kinda bummed it's Nina paying for all of this when actually Greta is the mastermind here. Oh well, they chose to get fake-married to each other so he had it coming. I just wish that the ramifications of this will eventually bite Greta's ass too, like if El Nino gets sent away and TLL is taken over by the government since everything is in his name or if Greta is found to be harboring an illegal alien or something else like that.

Also, you guys have given so much legal info here already, could you also let the exceptional among us (namely, me) know exactly what being released on bond would mean legally? Exactly that, so people archiving stuff is helpful, because larger pubs aren't stupid, they encourage clean slating, so archived facts is a rebuttal to that. Like I don't want to sound super serious and 'tarded, but the major players don't play when it comes to this kind of stuff and they are hoping for it to shape up to be a great "Look what TRUMP did" piece. Either he's mistaken, the bond hearing is set for Tuesday and he's hopeful Nina will be able to get out. If the judge is smart they'll see he's a flight risk and deny it.

ICE makes it's own decision on whether or not someone is eligible for a bond. It doesn't require a hearing first unless the detainee is challenging their refusal to allow a bond or the detainee is challenging the amount. That's why people are having trouble working out why there would be a hearing at all, although that may be for another reason - like trying to get the case moved to California. It might be required in order for Nina to start the process of claiming asylum, too.
