Obvious choice, I'd say, but many people hate Little Marco for being a neocon. I don't really know if he is? He's not maga, but he appears to be more genuine. I think RFK Jr. and Musk were against this decision, so hopefully, it doesn't mean Trump is not listening to them.
Rubio's been cozying up to Trump since late in his first term.
He's got neocon tendencies, especially since he was close to McCain, but he also seems like he's willing to play loyal to Trump.

I think he'll be fine as SoS, and if he isn't Trump will fire him. We had multiple SoSs in his first term, so it wouldn't be totally unexpected. My biggest fear is he'll use it to springboard his career to be an actual contender for President in 2028.

I have noticed the sudden cut off of all those DNC talking heads talking about the missing 10 million votes from 2020

All at once they're not longer interested in why 10 million Democratic voters just...stayed home in 2024. Not even a little bit of interest. Not a peep. Not a dribble. Just dead silence and deleted comments. Come Monday morning the ABC and MSNBC lunatics are just no longer talking about it even thought it was a uniform screed on Friday.

Funny huh?

Two things I'd hope would happen with a Trump presidency:

A January 6th like spectacle from agitated Harris supporters that Biden would be forced to call in the National Guard and expose themselves as domestic terrorists.

Trump just unitarily declares support for Israel to exist as a sovereign state to piss off alt-right and tankies at the same time.

Came across a NYT podcast recorded on election night, 4 of their analysts doing hot takes right before the race is called. It's remarkably well reasoned and sane, with some good takes on the direction of the parties.

The first 10-12 minutes are worth listening to; they actually recognize what Trump re-aligned, and how he did it under the Democrats' noses. It's interesting hearing it from the liberal side, without any cheerleading for the Democrats at all.

(The weakest point is the host, who can't help but slip into scare language about policies after a while. It becomes useless whining after 21 minutes.)
