He really missed his calling as a postmodern literary critic or idealogue. He uses the exact same logical tricks (albeit more clumsily) as those who 'deconstruct' gender, sexuality and modern institutions. It's only that his family and community trend conservative that he didn't fall into the right circles for it. Come on Nick, read Foucalt and become your best self.

Back when he was sane I'd be completely in disbelief, even a year ago I'd heavily doubt it. But at this point it's not really shocking if he did. Over the last few months as he has interacted and sidled up to Melton, and with the creepy way he jokes about the concept of molestation, I'm starting to suspect Nick is on some level a latent pedo. Not someone who's actively prowling around looking at kids sexually, but he seems to really get a kick out of the concept of child molestation, and seems to enjoy participating with Melton's whole schtick.

Not to add to this horrifying line of thought, but the danger isn’t just Nick, but also the people he seems to surround himself with.

Pedophiles like Melton, libertines like Dick. Or that fat retard who got arrested for harassing Eric July? If you make piss porn with an autistic girl for profit, it’s not exactly crossing many boundaries to find a preteen girl VERY interesting.

And that’s just people we know of, lots only knows who the Rekieta’s associate with currently.

People like Nick, whose lives are full on melting down because of drug addiction and degeneracy often attract pedos like moth to a flame. While mom and dead are sleeping off a hangover or slamming the sidepiece or trying to score it’s easy to ingratiate yourself with a neglected child and get some one on one time.

Fortunately there are also good people in the kids lives though. Kayla’s family. And as I said, hopefully CPS are watching them like a hawk.

Nick was a writing major, not a lit major. Afaik, he's never expressed any thoughtful interpretations of anyone's written work, unless you count trying to twist the plain language of various laws, or trying to rewrite the Bible in his own image. He's no lit crit scholar, amateur or otherwise, neither the good kind nor the annoying.
