FFG is not into math, so an accounting degree is highly unlikely. All I recall her saying about her accounting side hustle, was she could do family and friends taxes. That’s not a hard ask these days as I assume Canada, like other first world countries have apps for filing them in and the actual calculations happen within the app. She wouldn’t be required to math at all, just check paperwork, and input numbers into the appropriate lines and lodge the returns. It would also explain why she never had any intention of moving from the factory floor into an office position, ie she’s not qualified as an actual CPA.

FFG lied about getting a degree. I posted this clip awhile back because I distinctly remember her "graduating with her degree" so she could do peoples' taxes and lo and behold, that was all bullshit.

I was thinking about tax agents like H&R Block that operate in Australia, and also in Canada. You can get certification by doing a course through them and then prepare tax returns. These I believe then cross the desk of a CPA before lodgement. I’m not sure exactly how it works because it never interested me. However I did know accounting students who did their certification while studying so they could work for them during tax season while they were doing their Bachelor and Masters degrees
