I don't deny that happened, the issue is, as far as I understand, is the Sandyhook Hoax thing isn't that it was FBI agents grooming a crazy and letting him wild, it's that they outright claim the shooting never happened and that it was all fake, including the victims and parents and everything. I believe this was misinformation fed by the FBI, but there were actually claims that the shooting never happened.

Even more, it's incredibly expensive to immigrate legally. I have a good friend who immigrated from Germany. His girlfriend immigrated from Spain. One of the first things they needed to do was get an immigration lawyer. That added up quickly. $5k bills were common for simple tasks like responding to the government or submitting translated posters / ads of their work experience (they were both entertainers).

Any immigrant who did it legally most likely burned through whatever nest egg they were trying to hold on to, to help them resettle.
