Present for Anthony maybe

I actually didn't know anthony trooned before i read this thread. I don't even remember Linus troon trips refer to anthony by his troon name anyway. I think whichever DEI/Chink runs this now is atleast somewhat sensible enough to atleast not shove that in people's faces. Linus tough is still the same obnoxious faggot, and, honestly the only semi-respectable person on there that i do whach is riley's techlinked stuff because that's atleast somewhat usable.
(because it doesn't involve linus/anthony/whatever that other chigger's name was)

Well he basically quit as soon as he came out tbf although yes they do barely mention "Emily".

Outside of cinema snobs, and by cinema snobs I mean the kind of people who furiously masturbate over the idea of getting into the vault at the Warner Brothers lot; outside of those people, does anyone think most people really care about all the technical shit that a TV/Projector/Display device merits? Gamers ideally want something with low latency to handle speed and clarity with high frame rates; autists like Linus will fret over color, true black, and other nonsense; but most people who get big TVs, as long as it looks good enough, they're more gonna boast about the size like it's a status symbol. The problem being, Linus goes off the specs and shit, but it's still a status symbol and not the cinemaphile "This movie is best presented on the OG projector from 1913" or whatever. They were polite enough to spill the beans that the company sent that TV to be reviewed, and so Linus didn't have to drop the $20,000 for it, but the point stands; you can gush all you want about how great it is, but Linus isn't wearing a smoking jacket, sniffer of brandy in his hand, and a lit pipe on his lips while he waxes poetically about cinema.

Also, if he's as busy as he likes to pretend he is, his kids aren't gonna reap the benefit of having the bestest tv in the world or whatever; they're just gonna know their dad can't stop fucking changing shit.
Yeah, honestly, I don't know why LTT cares so fucking much about the "color accuracy" or whatever. LTT markets themselves to gamers. Linus most commonly reviews gaming related stuff, and targets himself to that demographic.
Why the fuck do i care if X monitor has 2.482% better color accuracy or fills X color standard by 79.24829%, or has this very specific feature that ill never ever use. if the monitor itself is a overpriced, laggy, low framerate piece of garbage??? This info ain't relevant to me. Im not a film snob. Im not a film maker, nor am i someone who does anything that needs good color accuracy, nor do i draw art all day (if that was the case i'd just get a tablet, a stylus and a cracked premuim apk of whatever drawing app is popular among the gacha kids or whatever, because, these days the screens on even budget tablets are pretty good for the money).
Case in point - I don't need all this spergery. Nor do i need to know about that other 20k TV that has really good color accuracy or whatever. I won't be able to buy it, nor will i, even if i had the means to. This is bullshit. They don't care about their demographic., and are only doing this because their are shills for whatever company paid them money to review x thing. Thats how all tech review channels make their money. By being shills, with no integrity whatsoever, nor a care about their demographic. LTT knows no one cares about that giant TV, he only did the review, because he got sent a free TV and a fat stack of cash to boot.
All i want to know about a given TV/Monitor is three things:
Price
Resolution
Framerate.
Thats it. I don't care if it's some trashy TN shit from 10 years ago. If it has a good price (and monitors devalue VERY quick), has good resolution and good framerate, then im buying it no questions asked. The very laptop im writing this on is some mid range 2018 office garbage with a shitty TN screen at 60hz that inverts the moment you dare to take your head off it, but you don't see me bitch and whine all day because i don't care. I mean, i don't. Sure, i'd appreciate something better, and something that has a half decent gpu and isn't some GTX 1050 4GB shit that barely works, (or is barely supported, but then again, linux gaming).
TL;DR Linus is a spoiled bitch that doesn't review shit because he wants to, but because corpos pay him money to, and he also doesn't have any consideration for his target demographic or any integrity/honesty whatsoever. I.E. the very definition of a shill

End of an era. :(

Linus Media Group has removed the "Our Team" page from their website as of yesterday. I guess they finally figured it was more trouble than its worth.

It used to be at https://linusmediagroup.com/our-team which now leads to a 404. There's no equivalent page linked from the nav or homepage.
So I went looking to see "Hey maybe they've got a successor hidden away in the background", and the answer is, no they don't. They do, however, have some fun hidden off in the back corner, that I don't remember anyone mentioning.

Behold, LTT's introduction to grilling (archive)
Linus Media Group - linusmediagroup.com.png

This is, of course, placeholder template assets from Squarespace, that you are supposed to delist at minimum, preferably delete, as part of standing up your site - I would know, I use it myself. Despite this, LTT still has them included in their sitemap, so they haven't even bothered to turn them 'off' in the WYSIWYG editor.

Its nothing spectacularly damning but I do find it funny that they put so little effort into the site, as to not even bother with a basic bit of cleanup.

I'm amazed at how bad the new site looks, Squarespace templates are usually pretty hard to fuck up if you stick to a single theme/layout. Whoever Linus assigned to redo the site couldn't decide what generic Squarespace template to use and merged the three most popular ones together.

Also, not a font autist but I think their new choice in font for their logo and site headings is way less readable.

I joke about this to make IT speds seethe, but now I'm partially serious. Linus, get a collection of 11900Ks, turn all safeties off, and see if you can grill or at least scramble eggs with them.

It's free content, you're welcome.

Labs still has names in the about us, but no pictures.

To maybe go with the "Our Team" being yeeted, a segment from yesterday's WAN Show:

at 41:20, and for about 15 minutes, these information bits dropped:

-Yvonne made Linus sell his meme stock portfolio, apparently at a break even/wash (maybe less) in order to put the down payment on the Badminton Center
-they had an "all hands (on deck)" meeting earlier in the week, where Linus drew a picture of the office building on fire
-Linus mentions they need to be prepared for many "headwinds" coming their way
-he mentions they expanded rapidly, a "shrink" phase, then are "clawing back" to where they were around July of last year when Steve dropped a roundhouse on them
-they are within 15% of where LTT was before last July
-Floatplane has 40,000 subscribers to it
-he's proud of how it feels like LTT is being received by reddit and the comments, that they are firing on all cylinders because Short Circuit is apparently feeling authentic or something
-there is specific mention in a comment that everyone seems to be having more fun, are using memes, and it's all very thunk provoking as this has happened since Tranthony left...
-there is talk about still getting things screwed up like some names of new products not being corrected before video release, but the audience is more receptive to their corrections now
-he had a short talk with one of the head people at LTT about expectations and "it was constructive," I have a feeling this is James, doesn't seem like their new CEO Taran or that Nick guy

If these points seem scattershot and polar opposites, I know, it was how Linus said them though. I bet there's going to be more of a thinning of departments and positions soon.

LTT viewer buys pants and wears them for a month and is surprised they got a rip. Other users insist its normal for a blue collar worker to wear the same pair of pants for months,

I don't know a single person who wears the same pants for a month. This guy spent $100+ shipping on ltt pants instead of buying 3+ pairs from a store.
Work pants? 3 pairs in rotation used 5 times a week for two years. If they ripped after a month I would be pissed, if I paid for them.

Maybe i'm just weird but I have enough pants to change them every work day and spares. I get shit all over them every day, what am I gonna do - wash every day to keep my single pair of pants clean? Maybe its because I don't buy $100 pants, or even $50. You can get b-stock carhartt pants from supercasuals for like $30.

Marques "MKBHD" Brownlee drove 96 MPH (155 KPH) in a school zone in an ad he made for a Chinese GoPro knockoff (PreserveTube):

He used YouTube's editor to remove the driving scene from the video.

He does not address his behavior, but rather says he removed the clip because it was "unnecessary":

$99 for the pants.
View attachment 6635125

For comparison on other "work pants"
5.11 are $90,
Wrangler $65
Carhartt are $60
I can't even come up with anything to say other than "lunacy".
You can get 2 or 3 pairs of heavy duty name brand cargo pants that are without a doubt better made than those. At this point I don't understand why they haven't pivoted into a "luxury" (read: overpriced chinkshit) clothing brand.
I can see the future Reddit reviews of them now, a la the backpack:
"I bought the cargo pants but the pocket stitching came undone." or "The belt loop ripped because of X."
Queue the predditor slobs who've never done any manual labor:
"Umm ackshully you're wearing them wrong, nobody clips X to the belt loop!" "Why did you have X in your pocket? pockets are meant for Y."
I can't even say for sure from that one photo, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and be MATI. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU MAKE THE ANKLE TAPERED WHEN THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO FIT OVER WORK BOOTS? ARE THEY INTENTIONALLY MAKING THEM INTO SOME FAGGY SKINNY JEANS?
