In the 20s and 30s, western bankers like JP Morgan were providing lines of credit used by the Soviets to buy everything from tractors to western designed and constructed knockdown factories. The Soviets needed the backing of western banks because by 1925 they had, through nationalization, default, or IP theft, pissed off just about ever American manufacturer of trucks and equipment.

The automobile and tractor industries were completely dependent on foreign (primarily American) technology for design, construction, and equipment, as well as initial operation. There was a German contribution, but this mainly consisted of supplying equipment manufactured to U.S. designs.

The product of these gigantic plants were Fords, a specially designed Budd Company model with a Hercules engine, Caterpillar and International Harvester tractors, and Holt and Farmall agricultural machines. No indigenous Soviet technology has been traced, with the exception of the five-meter motorless combine produced at Saratov. Indeed, the Soviets had enormous problems just assimilating transferred U.S. technology; and this objective itself was not achieved until about 1941.

At the time of the German invasion in 1941, the Soviet Union had one completely new automobile plant (the Ford Gorki unit) and two greatly expanded and reconstructed units for trucks at Moscow (the Amo) and Yaroslavl. The Rostov plant was probably not in production in 1941; other units were assembly plants only. At the same time tractor production was concentrated in three new very large plants at Stalingrad, Kharkov, and Chelyabinsk, together with the expanded and rebuilt Putilovets at Leningrad. The Altai (Robtovsk) plant, added in 1943, and the Vladimir plant, added in 1944, both produced Western models.

Yes, because bankers could clearly predict the future fifteen years in advance and provided lines of credit because they knew that the Soviets would not only survive nearly collapsing underneath an initial German invasion thanks to disproportionate material aid but that the American government would not only not demand virtually nothing in return for it but would effectively give away all of central Europe to them without a fight because they needed some anime supervillain to go on a half-century long training arc against so they could achieve global domination well after everyone involved was too dead to profit.

Or, you know, bankers were being bankers and trying to get a hook into a closed market in the same way the Rothschilds financed Trotsky, which coincided with the goals of the fellow travelers in the FDR admin.

The Eastern half of Germany actually had real "De-Nazification", since only around 19% of the post-war DDR government was "ex-Nazi", while most of the politicians that actually ran the DDR were KPD members returning from exile in the USSR. So East Germany, ironically, got "de-nazified" more in reality since the Soviets didn't need them to keep it together post-war.

The Western half of Germany wasn't "De-Nazified", it was effectively Americanized. I'd argue that West Germany was the "Patient Zero" for Globohomo subversion. Notice how much genuine German culture survived in the East while in the West they were taught that being German was shameful and that they were supposed to be genocided in WW3 with the USSR as atonement for the Reich's existence.

People forget that Stalin was one of the least ideological guys in that whole Bolshevik cohort. I'm sure he understood the core tenets of Marxism but he was brought in a thug first and a paragon of intellectual purity seventh or eighth. In terms of his actual decisions as an autocrat, he was way more pragmatic than the vast majority of the guys he purged, including Trotsky. Sure, everything was backed by an ideological excuse, but as we can see these days you can use pretty much any ideology to justify anything. So, Stalin having positive things to say about capitalists does not surprise me in the slightest: he could damn well see how successful these guys had been. He just wanted that shit for himself.
