That's more or less what he used Bolton for. There's no reason Trump has to let Rubio do anything he doesn't want done.

As to the senate seat being open, I suspect Rubio was chosen as part of an agreement with DeSantis to keep him out of the 2028 Primary against Vance. DeSantis can pick himself to fill the Senate seat and easily spend the rest of his life there.

Unfortunately, it probably means that Rubio will be in the Primary, and might even end up Vance's Veep choice.

I still think Kayleigh McEnany was the best press secretary I've ever seen. She's beautiful, witty, sharp, prepared, a dedicated mother, and takes no bullshit. She comes with a binder full of the press's hypocrisy, and you can tell she's about to drop a bomb when she flips it open as some NPC from MSNBC or CNN or whatever starts blabbering nonsense.

I’ve been thinking about this all week. No need for me to pl but I’d imagine many people’s social groups are realigning now that the election’s over and more people are just laying how they feel out on the table. The drama queens are all cutting each other off while others are reconnecting. The tactic of shaming anyone who gets out of line has kept people isolated, you’ve had to keep quiet and carefully feel out if people are based or not because progressivism is taken to be the ‘default’ approach to life in many places. There’s a tacit understanding now that people don’t have to hide anymore. I think likeminded people are gonna have an easier time finding each other, not even to date but just in general. It‘s nice and long overdue.

That is actually what Trump used Bolton for before he fired him. Trump would bring Bolton along, he would get redder and angrier with each word with thst ridiculous white mustache, and the rep would start worrying Bolton would go to war right there with his fists.

Sadly Marico doesn't have that "IM GOING TO KILL YOU ALL" look Bolton does.
