What wears out on these jeans is going to be the inner thighs. I bet they go through jeans faster than someone who works for a living; you can't sew a patch in for chub rub.

(And also cheaper fabrics.)
You can, (sort of) actually. This is how my friend does it, she uses paper towels as wash-away fabric stabilizer, then runs them through the sewing machine on zigzag stitch, back and forth, round and round, randomly over and over until the whole area is pretty much covered, creating essentially new fabric out of sewing thread. It doesn't work on actual holes, but for thin spots it does work really well. If you're looking close enough to see the mending you're too close. You can probably only do this once, maybe twice though.

But not all fats get chub rub. Even when I was 300 (size 28) I never did. I imagine it's almost impossible for that to be the case at Coco's size and Juliana absolutely has chub rub.

Imagine eating so much and so poorly that you avoid going for a walk around the neighborhood for fear of shitting yourself, and don't see it as a wake-up call; instead it's somehow society's fault for not putting a public bariatric toilet (with bidet!) on every street corner.
I immediately thought "oh, but you can go out to eat shawarma" - but then I realized that the restaurant has a bathroom so she can go take one of her apparently 40 times a day dumps in there and let the hourly workers deal with it.

I know butt plugs are supposed to be a sex thing, but are there any butt plugs Corissa could use to just stopper shut her leaky poop chute?
Typical deathfats, thinking dried fruits and nuts are a healthy snack. Sure, in the usual 1 oz serving. But not in the bag-by-bag way they're going to eat them. They'll eat 1000 calories without even noticing.

Also, removing the water from fruits just makes them feel less filling without removing any calories. Dried pears are 450 calories per cup. That's four times the calories per cup of regular pears (non-dried).

It also concentrates the sugars. Diabetics are told that if you must eat fruit eat it the way it comes. A proper sized serving of dried fruit will typically raise your glucose more than a proper sized serving of the same fruit fresh.

Every diabetic is somewhat different, different carbs react differently in different people. One diabetic might not be able to eat beans without getting sky-high readings, while the same amount of beans barely changes the next person's glucose.

Adult nappies. As in the non kinky type of adult nappy, worn by adults who struggle with GI disorders/incontinence.

There are so many malingerers and sexual deviants featured here on KF that it's easy to forget that there are people who genuinely suffer with real, debilitating ailments.

For people who actually have digestive issues, OMAD helps. The problem is only when you lose too much weight because your body can't absorb all the necessary calories at once, but Corissa could run on it awhile. Eventually, you have to start eating more often, but it really establishes how long GI transit takes when you eat whatever after six months.
It’s not recommended for diabetics like Corrisa though. She needs to be keeping her blood sugars as stable as possible throughout the day, and for that frequent smaller meals are the recommended protocol.

That's the standard advice, but fasting is incredibly good for type 2. Edit: that's a good way to manage type 1.

Dr Jason Fung's The Diabetes Code is a very good book on the subject.

Type 2 diabetes is all about insulin resistance. Insulin transports glucose into cells. The cells use said glucose to perform tasks. Insulin resistance happens when the cells are already super full of glucose. Why are they already full? Because of eating too much sugar, too often. Over time this resistance gets to the point where glucose in the blood is too high for insulin created by the body to push into cells; at that point we call it diabetes.

You can always brute force more glucose into cells given enough insulin. The body, in fact, ramps up production of insulin higher and higher to force more and more sugar into the cells. It's the excess sugar in cells that damages the tissue of whatever organ. A typical insulin prescription is sliding scale based on blood sugar before each meal. Typically no more than 10 units. Standard prescription is 4 pens for a month. Many diabetics go through half a pen or vial a day. (How they afford that is a mystery I hope I never have to answer)

Fung says (and my own observations back him up) that fasting AND a low-carb diet decreases blood sugar overall by allowing the tired, overworked cells to burn through more stored glucose. With regular enough fasting this lowers insulin resistance. With lower insulin resistance you can reduce the amount of meds taken. With super strict consistency it's possible to get off all drugs, although that's unlikely to be the primary way to manage diabetes for most people because it requires a 100% commitment for life. Because even if your diabetes is in remission you're still diabetic.

The number one rule of fasting, diabetic or not, is go by how you physically feel. Coco could go for two or three days without eating more than a couple hundred calories, if anything at all, because her insulin resistance is so high, without feeling the low blood sugar jitters. But if at any point while fasting you find yourself getting hangry or the jitters: eat something. Something low in carbs, of course. Most fasters do two meals a day, but one meal a day is fine too. Some fasters do 24 hours a couple times a week, eat normally (but low-carb) the rest of the time.

Coco will do none of this, because muh eating disorder. Hell, I clearly know all this, have irl data that backs it up and still struggle with it. It's fucking hard. But so many diabetics won't even try. Not even after losing limbs.

Edit: the standard advice is mostly because the majority of type 2 diabetics won't adhere at all to any diet that makes them slightly uncomfortable.

The majority also don’t regularly monitor their blood sugars so have no idea how different foods change their BGLs, instead relying on medications 100%. In their case following diabetes educator guidelines is likely to cause less grief to them than OMAD. I personally don’t believe in those guidelines, but I understand the need for them when it comes to non-compliant type 2s. There’s not a chance in hell Corrisa is a compliant T2D.

ETA: Corrisa is one of many HAES/ Intuitive eating deathfats whose labs I’d love to get my eyes on, plus their medication regimes.

I'm not sure that applies to Corissa, but it is a risk I am willing to take.

Some deathfat around here is a type I, but I don't remember and if Corissa is reading here, she should just do whatever without research. It's gotten her this far in life, right?

You know, it'd be interesting to the results of Corissa or Julianna attempting to eat a half kilo of macadamia nuts all in a single hit. Macadamias are delicious and buttery, and they're also 75% fat. It's very difficult to eat a lot of them, because they really fuck with your stomach and make you feel like crap.

Also, shelled is a huge risk. Getting the shell off of a macadamia is a drama, but they go stale so fast that buying them already shelled is just a waste of money.

I love a macadamia nut but know how calorific they are so never buy them already shelled. I use this device to shell them https://www.catch.com.au/product/1p...ing-nut-shell-opening-tool-for-home-31142358/
because by the time it takes to shell them I maybe have 10 nuts before deciding, that’s enough.

ETA: Same goes for walnuts and hard shell almonds.
