If I wanted an AG who will dig through the DOJ's servers to find any evidence of chicanery at the FBI so that I could perpwalk-out FBI managers and cutoff their pensions...

It would be Matt Motherfuckin' Gaetz.
When I saw the name I was like "oh shit this is gonna be his toughest confirmation" he has fought against some of the worst shit from the deep state and lived to tell about it.

The 2016 picks to 2024 picks are so different it's crazy.

This is why it's so sticky because neither side really has a compelling case that it's their ancestral nation.
The Israelis certainly do: they say it's their turf and they kick the shit out of the Muslims every single time there's a war.

Muslims are hoping for an Algeria-esque outcome where enough bitching and moaning results in the world gifting them a state. The problem here is that the Israelis do not give a fuck what the rest of the world says while the French have enough retarded communists to let terrorists win.

Trump winning means that Israel will stop pussy-footing around with the Muslims, who only understand "might makes right" policies because they are all inbred from marrying their cousins for over a millennia.

Super-short version of history:
- Israel conquered by Rome at some point before the birth of Christ and became a province within Jesus' lifetime
- Revolts, eventually crushed by Hannibal with Judaea being reorganized as a new province called "Syria Palaestina" to demoralize whatever Jews were left
- Stick with Eastern Roman Empire/Byzantine Empire until falling to Muslims in the 600s
- Under mostly Muslim control save for a brief time during the Crusades
- Officially part of Ottoman Empire by the 1500s which would remain for another 500 years
- United Kingdom seizes territory from Ottoman Empire as part of post-WWI spoils
- UK names territory as "Mandatory Palestine" before giving it away to the Jews in the late 1940s as Israel

The Assyrians were the closest at coming to saying that it's their native land, but most of the time they spread their kingdoms north around Mt. Antilebanon, to present-day Lebanon, and only ventured in where Israel sits for part of this time. And with Sikes-Picot there's been interest for decades post-UK to swallow up Lebanon into Syria, which is always met with resistance because coastal Lebanese cannot stand the meddlers on the other side of the mountains from them.

Syria made the mistake of trying to get deeply involved during the Lebanese Civil War only to burn men and money for nothing. Every time a strongman popped up with Syrian backing, a sniper or car bomb would take him out.

A lot of your Gazans whining and moaning over there are ethnically Egyptians that speak peninsular Arabic.

You can see the racial differences in skin tones with more Assyrian/Turkic based people with green eyes and dirty blonde hair down to your Nile Egyptians at the darkest end.

They all claim to be Arabs, but only a portion of Gazans are actually genetically peninsular Arabs.

The Druze people, who actually ARE Arabs, have a more interesting approach: throughout all the fighting over that narrow point where Asia spreads into Africa, their religion is literally a shopping cart of stuff they've picked out of Hebrew, Christian, and Muslim faiths.

I still think we should just glass the entire Middle East and be done with it.

Palestine isn't (or wasn't) a nation, that's the point. As you said, it was the Romans that named the region and merged it with Syria at the time.

Too bad Thune will just reject him.

It doesn't matter how good Trump's cabinet picks are given what we know about the new Senate leader. The MAGA movement is looking to be short-lived. We got played.

Kamala Harris for Secretary of Labor

She can finally prove she's "getting the work done" by working at the department that oversees workers.

Can someone redpill me on Gaetz? Why is the cathedral so afraid of him?
He has the same legal and constitutional wit as Ted Cruz but is actually right wing and isn't a bipedal capybara masquerading as a senator.
(You can say what you want about Zodiac Ted but he is very intelligent when it comes to legal-fu). He isn't likely to turn on Trump and is more America First than a lot of reps. A Matt Gaetz AG appointment indicates Trump is going to drop the hammer on anyone who fucked over the J6ers.

The 2016 picks were literal randos many of them recommended by conservatalk hucksters and campaign people.

People who run good campaigns and people who are good advisors do not intersect much, if ever.

The people who put JOHN FUCKING BOLTON into the White House needs a firing squad.

Someone with more legal experience than me can comment, but - to me - this suggests that the investigation is a shitshow and he wants to get out of Dodge.
It read to me as a desperate attempt to be able to purge the servers and burn the files before it is legally questionable to do so.
