Answering the Cox question, its because Utah is more purple, but it is heavily gerrymandered in republicans favor. The house seats will always go red, deep red. Senate and Govenor not so much because everyone votes. Why? The californian flood brother.
See, now that's a reasonable answer and one I can answer reasonably in turn. The Californian scourge extending its tentacle into Utah would explain a lot, even if they couldn't get a Democrat over the top, I don't doubt those bastards would try to help the most pozzed RINOs triumph instead to keep the more based Republicans out. Well I wish you guys better luck with primarying Cox in 2028 if he runs a 3rd time since IIRC Utah is one of those states with no term limits, you deserve a better governor.

The last time the POTUS was able to recess appoint anything I was a child.

The US Senate plays this game called a "Pro-Forma Session" to block the President from making recess appointments.

The Senate cannot take a break for more than three consecutive days or else it goes into recess. But, if you get one Senator in the room who comes in and puts in a calendar item on the floor, then calls for an adjournment, the 3 day recess clock resets.

For legal/procedure autists, this is mind-blowing mastery at its finest:

RFK Jr. Has created a website that allows you to vote for cabinet members in Trump's new administration, and Gun Youtuber + former congressional candidate Brandon Herrera has incited his followers to vote for him as the next director of the ATF.

Please god, make this happen. Mostly because I want to see that Mao Zedong looking bitch boy, Tony Gonzales, seethe about it.

I still remember the disingenuous ads and posts that the rat made against Brandon. Deliberately taking jokes he made in a podcast fundraising for veterans out of context to claim that Brandon hates veterans.

Cox for better or worse isn't going anywhere i fear. He was herbert's (the last govenor) second in command. We are stuck with him like a barnacle. And everyone that runs against him is hilariously worse. The dems are just fucking commies, and the third parties... LOL. Sadly he is the most palatable, focus tested, and """"likeable""" candidate every time he runs, even though he is a faggot.

I'm a little bummed about Ken Paxton not getting AG. Or at least someone with an accomplished law career.

Gaetz graduated law school in 2007, but began working in politics in the Florida House in 2010. That means he only has 3 years of real-world experience as an attorney before joining the lizard man club.

Paxton for comparison got his JD in 1991 and practiced law in the private sector until 2002 when he started his political career in Texas.

IMO Gaetz is just a nepo baby (his dad was a prominent Florida congressman) and while he is most definitely loyal, I am not confident he will bring any real change as the top attorney for the country.
