🚨 COCK.LI IS ON RED ALERT.

I absolutely have not, shut the fuck up

The guy warning people about evil Proton is fucking Graf, the midget retard alcoholic who runs Poast.

Proton complies with Swiss court orders. Their privacy policy is very easily understood.
That was Graf? Jesus fucking Christ how the hell I could mistake you with Graf? I'm very sorry everyone.

The magnet links to the insurance files have disappeared from the announcement. The canary now also says "Cock.li is not under duress of any government or organization." - however, nothing has been removed from the canary.

I've already said this but I will reiterate.
Names like "cumallover.me" are GAY, they make the user look like a FAG
Names like "gaschamberfor.jews" are COOL and make you look RAD
Cumallover.me is the domain I chose for my recent email address from cock.li.
Gastheje.ws is giving me Count Dankula vibes.

People really need to learn that due the way the email protocol works there is no such thing as an email address which cannot be spied on. Sure there might be people out there with integrity who if given the chance to do so still wouldn't read your emails, but whoever has control of the server absolutely has the ability to read all emails which pass through it. Even those services which advertise themselves as "private" can still read your emails if they choose to do so. Email should only be used to sign up with services which require it, bills and trivial conversations that you wouldn't be embarrassed by if anyone else ever saw them; it should never be relied on as a means of secure communication.
OpenPGP / GnuPG and S/MIME actually can make email private but just using signal or SimpleX is way easier

This is exactly where easy to use unbreakable systems are kinda required. You had global governments have a total hissy fit over telegram to the point where they jailed Durov. That being said GnuPG is epic the only thing that really sucks is the keytotpm function being broken. Since it would allow you to really deadlock email communications. Broadly we need better technology and solutions to remove surveillance entirely. Yes criminals might abuse it but frankly governments are abusing their power openly and this kinda stuff has to be stopped.

Let's make this easy:

nigge.rs❌racist, repressive, offends my wife's mixed race son, too many letters, do better

nigg.as✅ woke, efficient use of characters, reclaiming language, bull approved, based and Samoa pilled *discovers white people are using it* REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

They might not be shutting down, but this recent scare has made me rethink the service a little bit.
Over the years I came to treat it as a stable and reliable email provider, but in recent years I've found the servers would be unreachable in most inconvenient of times, often enough where you can't just brush it off as a one-off thing, but a constant reoccuring problem.
I think I'll keep some accounts tied to them, but only ones which have very little importance and/or urgence.

I think it depends on your IP; I've made a lot of Proton burners over the years and whether or not I get phone number verification has been very inconsistent, closing my browser and switching VPN location a couple times usually fixed it though.
Ah, that's what it'll be then. I almost never have my VPN turned off on my computer, except when I need to access SocialBlade because those absolute faggots have blocked seemingly every VPN IP.

Imagine people leaving your service once you start posting huge RED ALERT messages on the front page of your site that heavily imply that it could be in danger of shutting down. I've been a Cockmail user for years now, but what the fuck did he expect? It doesn't exactly inspire confidence in your service if you post shit like this, it makes people feel like having a back-up to migrate to is absolutely necessary.

not that I think its going anywhere at the moment, but the fact the tracker is on their own domains, any closure/seizure will make that not work.

Dark times.. Best of luck to them. Hope they can hold out.

Probably more pressure from CISA. Recall this from the front page last year:

I pretty much suspected as much as soon as every single mainstream email provider suddenly and without compromise started demanding phone numbers. Actually forcing the ones who don't comply out, was always surely the next step.

I've been seeing articles and commentary more and more calling for the end to online anonymity.

This is part of a larger assault on speech online. Since the attempt to control the net and destroy the old web via social media has mostly failed.. or at least not gone how they wanted... They are going to rip the rest apart bit by bit instead. Don't forget how cries against freespeech and online speech are being used as a boogeyman in and after the election. Or how powerful major political and business figures have went on record in the last few years complaining about free "unrestricted" speech. Even in speeches from major international organizations. (like the 'World Economic Forum')
