Relevance is such a low bar in evidence law that you essentially need opposing counsel to go out of their way to try and violate the operative rules for a relevance objection to get granted.

Yeah, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet. I mean, this sort of thing is right there in "The Art of the Deal", only modified for politics instead of business. I kind of wonder if Gaetz has been filled in that his role is that of a tar baby, because honestly, I don't see him really having the chops to effectively be an AG. It's going to be fun watching the swamp creatures exhaust and overextend themselves trying to block his nomination and either fail, or get some small win, just to have another loyalist with a less radioactive profile get ushered in once they've spent all their political ammunition on Gaetz while the other nominees get in with a minimum of scrutiny in the meanwhile.
