I suspect in the hopefully not too far off future this will be the case. But it is worth mentioning many of the younger tranners aren't jumping straight into hormones or surgery like was typical before. We're already seeing women who trooned out in their teens and 20s suffering from infertility as they hit their adulthood stride in their mid-20s and 30s and mourning the ability to breastfeed their babies, or bemoaning vaginal atrophy and incontinence after T - but they tended to have trooned out in the 2010s or earlier. There are many more pooners today who are proudly non-op or won't touch T or remain on "low dose" T because it'll ruin their anime uke aesthetic than there are 'trutrans' pooners who jump to inject as much T as they can and lop off their breasts the instant they are legally allowed to, if I had to guess.

The tide shifted a lot towards ~all trannies are valid~ and a de-emphasis on dysphoria/medical transition. Transmedicalism really fell to the wayside outside of the NLOT types. Predictably, many mtfs aren't on HRT - but the effects don't tend to be permanent anyways so the stakes are quite different. Look at any pre- and post-HRT timeline, the differences in ftm and mtf outcomes are staggering. Moreover, most mtfs don't get "the surgery", the ones who do tend to opt for orchis over actual SRS (or GRS or whatever it's called today). Ultimately there is very little to physically mark a detrans man who was non-op (like most mtfs are) outside of possible gyno and/or a crippling hentai addiction/AGP and those are sadly not limited to men who went down the tranny rabbit hole.

Honestly, I'm wondering when troons will fade off the internet. Its true that they were never big irl, (though maybe it depends on the area.) and yet on the internet they are everywhere. Go to any fandom you're in and you'll get teenagers or young adults who claim to have some flavor of trans identity or queer. This is why trans people think they have a lot more supporters and think there are more of them than what their actual numbers are. Hopefully in the not too distant future they'll slowly be put into their own little echo chambers like before where nobody herd or cared about them unlike nowadays.

Here is an "asexual" person neither from nor in the United States wondering how the Trump presidency might affect them. This is a long-form version of the thrill of telling horror stories by the campfire.
