I am really excited to see how the nomination fight goes for Trumps picks. This is the first test by the Imperial Court of a new Emperor who may very well hold the Mandate of Heaven. IMO though, I have a sneaking suspicion the Republicans in the Senate will get in line despite their reflexive desire to buck the picks. They deny Heavens Will at their mortal peril.

Remember that Feinstein was literally comatose on her seat while aides pressed buttons for her votes. Pelosi will die in the chamber, mark my words.
Isn't the most common medication taken in Congress some kind of anti-Alzheimer's drug? They've taken advantage of America for so long, they're being taken advantage of themselves.

When the RNC appointed Lara Trump as cochair, I cut them a hefty check, and she paid that back by being insanely on top of this election, in obvious contradiction to the strategies of designated loser Rona Romney.

My only fear with regard to these appointments is how Trump is giving everyone their due. Last time, Trump put Bolton in his cabinet as a favor to Sheldon Adelson. This go around, he's had the silent backing of some real murderous Jews who aren't the type to let him get away a second time with not invading Iran. Promises made and promises kept can get pretty rough...
He isn’t going to invade, that’s not what Trump does. He will just simply show all the leaders he can and will explode them.

He can pull the plug at any time with session bullshit so it gives him leverage on Trump for future negotiations and lets the relationship start on a positive note. No real reason not to do it.
I don't think he has any leverage and trying to gain leverage over Trump at this point is a bad idea. Setting aside all the superstition about Divine Mandates and wat not, the brass tacks of the matter is Trump is ascending on the back of a popular mandate that has given the Republicans control over all three branches of the Federal Government. This mandate was given under the clear and direct platform of Trump himself and in the face of everything that he was accused of. The time for waffling and hedging bets is over in DC. One side of the political argument shoved all their chips onto the table, called the bet, and won.

The game is over. Now is the time to stack the winnings and declare the losers.

One great thing about Trump winning is the media can no-longer call him "Former President." You can feel the previously smug use of "former president" disappear as they spit out "president-elect"

Mah Gawd Rocky Balboa is at Mar a Lago!

This America First Policy Institute is huge. Trump has learned that liberals and marxists are well organized and that people on the right need to do it as well. If we continue to have MAGA thinktanks then they can really shape culture in years to come.

I’m pretty sure the next Democratic nominee will be Whitmer. For a few reasons, if @Gehenna and @Jaimas want to criticize my points go at it.

1. Her term is up in 2026 and she can’t run again. That’s two years to get donors, workshop messages, and try to mimic Trump’s 2024 campaign.

2. She’s the DNC co-chair and headed Kamala’s campaign. It’ll likely be turned into a positive talking point that Whitmer helped make Kamala’s campaign competitive

3. She’s been set up for a while by the DNC. She gave the response to Trump’s 2020 state of the Union and she’s a progressive aligned with Ducksworth and gave homage to Pelosi and Schumer.

4. She won reelection by a bigger margin than her first election. (Ignore that two Republican candidates were eliminated via a signature campaign fuckup that pretty much was political sabotage and the other was convicted of Jan 6 bullshit).

5. She is a woman. The Democratic Party donors want a woman president more than they want to win. I think this is due to the teachers union, billionaire divorcees, and making abortion their big goal.

I don’t think Newsom will have his looks in 4 years and 4 years of fighting Trump will make him look awful should Trump achieve 1/10 of what he is promising, especially if Trump gets on lowers energy costs.

Pritzker is fat and I would not have sex with him. Also, he has no term limits as governor and no one will vote for a big fat guy like him. He’s not Rob Ford.

Dude he got ecstatic in the Joe Rogan interview when he mentioned #12 concrete in relation to nuclear reactors. The man understands building shit and the regulatory hell you have to go through to do so.
I honestly hope Trump gets one more book wrote or a few more showings on Rogan and just fills it with all the wild shit he actually likes to talk about.

As an aside, on my brief sojurn to Canada which included several fast food stops at McDicks and Timmies while on the road, I was shocked at how much better I fealt in general health wise. It was noticeable and I even commented to my family up there that the food seemed "healthier". The food in Canada tasted "slightly" different, in all its presentations, but it was just so much better in general. I cannot say for sure what it was, but it was something.

Gonna go with Dear Sneeder and blame the Cheese. I had Tim Hortons fast food pizza while on the trip, the cheese was sharp and strong, different. Definitely not to American tastes, but once I was done I felt so much better. Never felt that way after eating a fast food pizza.

Name kind of matters in an election, I don't think the average person wants to be under a President named Gretchen

I'm predicting a Shapiro / Whitmer ticket. Dems are 0/2 with women leading the ticket, and they want to try and win the blue wall.

I am starting to believe that Thune is going to let recess appointments happen.

He can pull the plug at any time with session bullshit so it gives him leverage on Trump for future negotiations and lets the relationship start on a positive note. No real reason not to do it.
It's the smart call tbh. It lets him out of the leftoid accusations since they'd primarily focus on Trump doing it during recess, and it's not like he can really stop it anyway. Trump has other angles and like Massie said, "we recess, he's in". Unless they plan to spend the next two years until midterms stalling constantly and cycling out senators just to prevent Trump's agenda from being enacted, which doesn't hurt Trump as much as it does them, he might as well just let Trump seem like he got one over on them.

That being said, RINOs will RINO and true RINOs care more about enforcing their retarded politics sometimes than pragmatism. It would make more sense to just let it happen, but a lot of them really fucking hate Gaetz and will grit their teeth at that.
