There’s something ironic about that whole segment that really sums up Phil Burnell as a person.

Shits on a marketing exec at MS, claiming they’re some Ivy League douche who is so out of touch with the real world, etc etc.

When you look up the dude Phil is whining about, undergrad at a public school (Eastern Michigan) and a MBA from another public school (Univ of Washington, probably did that while working). Total 2024 cost for that education = $64k undergrad + $93k MBA = $157k

Phil Burnell, man of the people and totally in touch with the every day man, as he’s street smart but also book smart, went to Fairfield University. Basically a private school that exists for people who aren’t good enough for an Ivy or something with prestige but are too pretentious to go to a state school. Total 2024 cost for a 4 year degree = $228k
(The only value from a school like this is networking with other douchebags, and if you aren’t doing that, you’re wasting money)

Really says a lot about Phil when even in the times he tries so hard to dunk on somebody he comes off like a jackass. A pretentious one at that.

The only street smarts Phil has is Sesame Street, and even that's a stretch. Between this whole trying to shit on the guy because Phil is too stupid to understand the games industry, and the story about the fan (which had him ban a supposed 22-year electrician over calling Phil out on his BS), it's a miracle that Phil hasn't had a brick dropped on him yet.
