Seriously, what is wrong with her EYES? I have said this before, but I can't finish a drawing of Becky I have mostly done because I keep putting too much light and life in her eyes. Her eyes are utterly dead. Sunken. Lifeless.

I'd say I miss our leak (the house troon, let's be real) but I don't think he'd be honest anyway, so.

The single biggest surprise of that whole arc is that he didn't go and get himself kicked out when Becky read the thread. He's gotten kicked out of roommate situations before and used it to go begging, so I figured that was the angle, especially since I'm sure he has plenty of dirt on their bourgeoisie lifestyle that wouldn't go over well in progressive bluesky circles.

"Got kicked out of the only home I had by mentally ill grifter who begs for money while ordering groceries from Whole Foods" would have worked pretty well, I think. But either Becky's actually been ignoring her thread or didn't figure out who it could possibly be (but it was very obvious: he kept calling the troon "the MTF" and saying nice things about him, while having a couple of writing style tells as well that are consistent between his web presence and KF leak account). He also told us none of them smell bad, which is as good of an indicator of "troon with noseblindness" as it is possible to achieve via text-only communications.

That's a very common extreme oversimplification, because for all the biggies (measles, polio, etc.) the death rates already went down before vaccinations became commonplace. Fever and diarrhea treatments plus antibiotics for secondary infections make all of those once-dreaded diseases into something where you have to have real, real bad luck to actually die from it. By the 1950s, measles killed less than 500 Americans per year (though nearly everyone did get it at some point during childhood, it was considered not too severe, just a rite of passage). Typhoid fever was plummeting well before the vaccine was introduced, because of chlorination of drinking water in urban areas that had been introduced to combat it.

If vaccines went away tomorrow and every kid became magically unvaccinated, it wouldn't instantly become 1870 with a third of kids dying of preventable infections. People have given these shots totemic powers and completely disregard the numerous other advances that have done as much or more for the survival of children in our society.
