During Melton's stream on Nov 07, he described a good analogy to this reveal as if Rekieta had "bugged" Aaron's house. I mean, it's known that they use Signal, which is a good start, but I refuse to believe that anyone in this situation is as militant about using it as you need to be for it to matter. I know lots of people who have multiple ways of reaching me, but seem to scattershot what they use when they reach out even though I'll tell them "Please contact me via <email/text/slack/etc.>." This group seems to me to be the type that would have an "only chat through Signal" rule, but also has people (very specifically April) who would send messages some other way on a whim.

Aaron uses Google. If this is a saved password situation, Google will send an alert anytime a new device logs in. So Nick was likely logging in know a known device. Google logs more than just IP, so I'd say good chances Google has a record of the device first time it logged in and can be matched to occasions since Aaron left.

Unless Aaron is a dipshit and he ignored those warnings.
