Iraq was a different matter a couple years later, you started to see opposition, it was harder to justify, and some people said Bush just wanted to finish what we should have done in the 1st Gulf War to impress his Pa, but Saddam was an asshole so there was still support, just less, but Afghanistan, Bin Laden? Everyone wanted those fucks taken out. Bush could have turned Kabul into a radioactive glass parking lot in October 2001 and not many people would have complained.
Of course the MIC used that outrage to push the GWOT, and we ended up pulled into the Forever War, but that's a different and much longer story.
