Louis "I don't get Disability because Joe Biden is a Republican Fascist" Gagliardi knows about specifics on disability, unsurprising. You know what can allow and earn you more than $3,000 at one time, Lou? A work from home job.

Yeah, sure is suspicious that someone who swears up and down that he doesn't collect any kind of welfare/disability/financial assistance aside from food stamps and Medicare knows all these details of the restrictions on what one can and cannot do if they collect disability.

One of the nice things about earning your own money via working a job is that once your income taxes have been taken out the government really has no say on what you do with the rest, aside from some minor exceptions. You can save up as much of it as you want. You can buy a nice car or a house with it. You can invest it or buy precious metals. It's liberating to have a job and earn your own money.

To play Lou's Advocate: I'm sure his mom, and his mom's friends/cronies, have discussed this at length. Given Lou aspires to one day be legally disabled, he would have paid attention.

Would he though? I'm not so sure. I think as a kid he would have been far too busy watching cartoons and screaming for toys to pay attention to all that "grown-up stuff", and as an adult he would be far too busy watching cartoons, begging on social media, and getting into pointless arguments with strangers online to care. Louie is entirely self-centered and thus is completely tuned out to anything that isn't himself or his autistic interests.

This is true--I've been continually surprised how little Lou knows about what happens to noncompliant diabetics, and about the specifics of the man dying slowly of ESRD under his roof. Then again look at the Plural Arc. Lou clearly paid (a dumbass version of) attention to other plural furries, in order to deploy it himself. Disability is the Gagliardi family business and Lou clearly never planned to work; obviously his mom hasn't coached him hard enough to develop "back pain," but he'd learn some things just by growing around adults who were all in the same line of work.

Man, if Lou isn't paying attention to his mom on general principle, he's going to regret it. Not much longer before Lou gets to complain about entering trans perimenopause.

There is a LOT that Louie is going to eventually come to regret in the future. However, I doubt he will ever have that Come to Jesus moment where it dawns on him that all his problems are his own fault and no one else's. He will just continue to play the victim and blame everyone else.

I've never lived in Appalachia, but isn't that the region where entire towns are on disability because there's literally no other way to "earn" a living? I know Lou's not too far from Pittsburgh, but when a region is that saturated in welfare dependence, I'd be surprised if Louie DIDN'T know the basics of government gibs. Of course, if he was truly a son of the Appalachians he'd know you can always buy cases of soda and sell them back to the store to launder your food stamps into cash...

Here, the tweakers buy cases of water and sit outside the grocery store, pouring them out one-by-one so they can take them to the bottle return.

...If PA has bottle deposit, maybe that's why Lou is so big on Dr. Pepper. He's just running it through his kidneys first, while he has use of them.

I was going to respond to this incredulous that tweakers could be so dumb but then I did the math:
Where I live (no bottle deposit) you can get a 40-count pack of bottled water for $5.63. If you live in one of the states with a 10¢/bottle deposit, they'd up the price to at least $9.63. but if you collected the deposit on all the bottles that's $4 cash, about 42% retention. Not as good as the Kentucky soda scheme, but not horrible when you consider this can all be done by one person, no under-the-table dealings required.
Also, no bottle deposit in PA, so Lou's drinking all that soda for the love of the game.

I expect if there ever is a come to Jesus moment, his body is failing massively and he has weeks to live from his poor eating habits. If Lou is to be humbled, it will be when he is all out of options.
