The case is being tried in Texas, right? So the odds of him getting a limp-wristed sympathetic jury are pretty unlikely. Does a case like this have discovery? It would be very funny if all Riley's devices were seized as part of the trial and uncovered a bunch of other shady shit that incriminates Dick even further.

It normally would not in my (limited) knowledge but the law has probable cause. He admitted to filming kids on multiple occasions. Ask yourself this question: If you were being stopped and randomly mentioned to the cops that you only take one gram of crack a day, do you think the cops would not search you, your car and your home? You gave them probable cause. Same thing. Now they have reason to believe he is a nonce with videos.

The act of finding that stuff is mildly amusing. Then JUJUVEDOFROG started repeating "3D ASSETS!" and malicious DICK show orbiters tried to make Eric get in trouble for it. Example:
