Looking back it really was weird how the media constantly focused on her sex appeal and virginity. Like....girl was on The Mickey Mouse Club with Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, JC Chasez, Keri Russell, and Ryan Gosling. Disney failed her. And no it wasn't a thing like Miley Cyrus twerking on Robin Thicke and being disgusting because that was something Cyrus did on purpose. Ironically she has toned it down a bit. It's uncanny but she looks like a young Jane Fonda.

I can think of several reasons. One horrific. A few pathetic. One arguably okay.
Horrific:
#1: A pedophile trying to skirt the lines of what is legally acceptable.

Pathetic:
#1: A rich, famous, or otherwise "high status" man using his money to pay for a sugar baby because he was a loser in high school.
#2: Two people involved in some extremely niche lifestyle choices where the dating pool is limited by virtue of their mutual autism

Arguably decent:
#1: A man looking to marry someone who is still a virgin for religious reasons and wants a more traditional family and many children.

There's also the social factor. Human beings judge one another on what they have or don't have and make inferences about a person based on what they see or don't see.
This is what drives niggers to spend their welfare on jewelry and dumb shit
It's what also drives mate selection.

What do you automatically think when you see a man with a woman who is taller than him?
What do you automatically think when you see a relatively decent looking guy with a woman 3 times heavier than him?
What do you automatically think when you see a man dating a woman noticeably older than him?

This is another reason for some of these people to want to date teenagers (16-18 depending on the local laws) is social status. Youth implies beauty, people want to possess beautiful things. A man who is seen in public with a younger, very beautiful partner is automatically seen to be a man of some kind of value.

People like to pretend that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but if you picked up a book and the cover had a picture of a gay nigger gangbang, you'd be right to assume the book is probably about gay nigger gangbangs.
People judge by appearance. A 35 year old woman is never going to be as feminine, or beautiful as she was at 18 or 19.

But like I said. This issue mostly solves itself. The vast majority of men over a certain age are not going to appear attractive to girls who have younger, more virile, less dumpy/beer bellied options. Beautiful girls can date very attractive men. 99.999999% of the time, a man over a certain age has no means to compete with her other options unless he's genetically blessed, very wealthy, or in some other way better than the younger men who will eventually take his place.

In the rare circumstances where a man can compete with those younger men, I see no reason why he should settle for an older woman when he could get a younger one.
