I think you're forgetting how little of fatty's own diatribe they used, and how chopped up what little they used was. That's with extremely sympathetic (if only for political reasons) journos calling the shots. I just want you to imagine a particularly incensed fatty being grilled by opposing counsel for hours, constantly waffling worse than a politician through every question, probably raising his voice and getting exceptionally petulant multiple times. Every lie he tries telling gets countered, and he starts trying to interrupt everyone, possibly even the judge. Do you really think people are going to find him sympathetic in that circumstance?
