You've also very often burned your bridges. It would take quite an earthquake in the DNC for Tulsi Gabbard to be welcomed back. She's likely to stay in the Republican party now for as long as she wants to remain in politics.

It's crazy now that I think about it. Trump has made the Republicans the centrists and pushed the Democrats to the side.

Also he didn't reform the Republican party, have his name dragged though the mud, cheated out of an election, collect more felonies than your average hood rat, get sued to hell and back, take a bullet, watch his supporters get punished on his behalf, and even had some of them shot at his rally only to immediately turn around on everything his platform stood for and ruin his legacy just to collect a few shekels. Trump is legit and is ready to go to work, the big question is if Congress will work with him.

You are out of date with this view. The big players love regulations these days. Largely because they write them. This enables them to create barriers to entry for upstart competitors. Case in point, OpenAI enjoyed a fairly nonrestrictive environment whilst they grew rapidly but as they grew closer to market dominance they began lobbying the government for laws to place "safeguards" on AI. It's dressed up a good thing but it's them pulling up the ladder behind them. They can afford to comply with onerous regulations, legal fees and all the other costs that regulations impose. But some bright guy with a vision and a novel idea is going to have a much harder time getting the funding he needs to be a player in the market. Far easier to just sell out to one of the big players who can afford to play. It's what Google did, it's what Big Pharma does. It's routine behaviour at this point.

Being pro-business and being pro-megacorps is no longer the same thing. In fact, they've become quite adversarial. Trump is pro-business. Not so much pro- megacorps (I hope).

Most of the objections are to Gaetz. The cynical theory that he might be a distraction or a highball seems increasingly likely to me.
