Oh yeah I forgot. Would it get reinstated? The statue of limitations I mean
No, Statute of Limitations only bars bringing suit, once a suit/case is brought they don’t matter anymore.
But there may be a right to a speedy trial issue. Punishment phase of the trial is still a part of a trial, so delaying it four years arguably denies Trump his constitutional right. But I’m not sure what the governing New York case law says about when that right is violated.

Not really?
The trial is over, and a jury verdict rendered, so speedy trial was already done, and it doesn't really apply to how long the trial takes.

More of a due process issue, like NY cares.
See above. Sentencing/punishment phase is the final phase of trial, meaning it’s still part of trial. The jury phase only determined guilt, but it did not conclude the entire trial.

Edit: while the above is correct, apparently SCOTUS has ruled that speedy trial applies to the guilt-innocence phase of the trial, because the right exists to stop“undue and oppressive incarceration prior to trial.” So I was actually wrong, there is not a speedy trial issue here.

JD if you're really lurking make Anna Paulina Luna dress like Nico Robin for inauguration day.

The best way I can describe certain democrats like Chunk and Ana Kasparian is they were acting the way to Trump the way a kid who hates eating vegetables acts. They do everything in their power to avoid it, make ludicrous claims about why they can't eat the veggies, and even succeed for a time to not eat them. But the benefits soon appear compared to just eating candy, the flavor palette builds, and they finally have to sit there and eat the vegetables. And while some taste bad, they have to admit to themselves some veggies were necessary if only to not look like a complete retard to other people.

Anyways, Kai Trump talking to Grandpa Orange about golf swings, and I just like how Trump even knows and respects the ass kissing at the end. It's him going "you have to say I'm the best but I know it's not true, but thanks anyway" :

Linda McMahon is Secretary of Education. This is where we make dark, horrible Department of Education jokes about it being eliminated like Owen Hart or Chris Benoit or Chyna.

If they're waiting they're going to be waiting 12 years and Trump will be like 90 by then.

You have a point. I just don't think the show trial should be going for as long as it had.

It's a due process argument bro. You demand the full process of which you are due, including finalization, so you may begin your appeal.
