This is a state charge. Trump can't pardon himself for this. There is also no way they can hold off sentencing for 4 years unless Trump agrees to it. They are getting to hold off on it now due to Trump's lawyers agreeing. But 4 years flies so insanely far in the face of due process the higher courts will force the judge to make a ruling.

Everyone involved knows this will be overturned once sentencing happens. The judge directly spit in the face of the Supreme Court's ruling. The judge is just trying to figure out what is the best way to save his own ass.
Hypothetically if he pardoned himself of the unspecified underlying federal crime(s) that the extended statutes of limitations relied upon would he have an argument to say that the crimes he was convicted of weren't brought in a timely manner and must be dismissed?

My understanding of the logic for the heightened charge is that you did not even have to do the underlying felony only that you had to do the misdemeanor in a furtherance of attempting it. They also did list the state level felonies which were used to justify upgrading the charge. One of them, the election interference one, requires an underlying federal felony which I believe (but am foggy on) was specified as well. They just did it right at the end where Trump could not respond or defend himself.

If thats the criteria and it is held up by the courts, then pardoning himself of the federal felony, which is the underlying felony of the state felony, which is one of the underlying felonies used to justify upgrading the misdemeanors to a felony doesn't matter. Because he would still have been considered to be doing the misdemeanor in furtherance of attempting the felony.

It also completely doesn't matter because the prosecutors specifically call out a state level tax fraude felony, which has no underlying federal crime that it is based on, the jury could have considered him attempting instead of the election interference felony.

So at best if the courts ruled that him pardoning himself defeats upgrading the misdemeanors you could argue for a mistrial since the jury was instructed that was one of, but not the only underlying felony that they could consider to justify the upgraded charges.

Considering how easy most other Japanese businesses fold when the globo homo applies pressure to them
It surprises me that they where allowed to air this on live television.
Perhaps its ok because its not condeming them of anything, simply pointing out at their political and economical influence as the reason for the US undying support of Israel.

Save his own ass from what exactly? What punishment could await him? Judges go crazy all the time and nothing happens. I want to hear who you think will hold him responsible, what "consequence" awaits?

Here's to hoping he is as good at confirming judges as he is at grilling.
Do the appointees of a mentally disabled man actually count? I think a pretty good legal case could be made by an incoming administration that a man suffering from dementia should not have any of his choices honored.

I think the Trump administration has incredibly solid legal grounds, though lacking in precedent, for forcing the removal of every Biden appointee.

The worst thing imaginable to a judge. Getting told by a higher court they are a dip shit. I agree, nothing actually bad will likely happen to the judge. But I still think he is trying to figure out the best way of coming out of this looking good or at least less bad.

It would be funny if Japan had to save us from the jews after we nuked them, twice.
Japanese do not care in the slightest about Jews controlling America or anywhere that is not Japan

The grorious Japanese Empire told the Nazis they could not care less about Jewsperging when the Nazis asked them to kill all the Jews in Shanghai

This is all legal, there isn't much Trump can do to undo the appointments. If the president is unfit and is making bad appointments, it is the job of the senate to vote against said appointments as a check against executive power. If the senate approves the appointment, then the president's mental state doesn't matter because over 50 other people (with presumably sound mind) thought the appointee was fine to serve. What Biden and the Dems are doing is scummy and is clearly out of spite for the American people, but the only thing Trump can do is try to reform the process so it is harder to shove appointees though with simple majority.

We need to stop freaking out about this judge issue. These are liberal judges retiring because they’re old and tired. Nothing is getting flipped. It’s not like Biden is forcing all the conservative judges out by gunpoint and replacing them with liberals. Yeah, it’d be nice if we could get more flips, but Trump will certainly get plenty of judge appointments through just like his first term.
