Furry Convention Drama - Because you can't have a couple thousand dog fucking enthusiasts under the same roof without shit hitting the fan

One of the major reasons people care about sex at furcons is because the fetishplay begins in public, around kids in public spaces like hotel lobbies.
Just this year alone there was a babyfur at a convention walking around in front of several children (reportedly not even teenagers but prepubescent kids) while wearing a fetishistic adult sized baby diaper over their fursuit, and no one there said or did anything. One furry took a photo, put it on Twitter with some LIGHT criticism, and they were dogpiled by people who were pissed that they would try to blow the whistle on such behavior. Some furries even floated the possibility of seeing if they could be blacklisted from furry conventions with the rationale that because key staff members at virtually every furry convention are babyfurs, they could punish this con-goer for trying to cause a fuss.

At least at Rainfurrest the babyfur who was temporarily in an adult diaper in the hotel lobby was rightfully ridiculed for it. We're making backwards progress.

However, I have it on good authority from a Hall of Fame hotel clerk that this is very common at business conventions too. One of the pedophile businessmen will wear their adult baby diaper on over their suit in front of some children, one buzzkill will try to sound the alarms, and everyone else bullies them into silence. Pretty typical at anime conventions too.

So some loud idiots tried to get someone banned, that happens over even the most minor of issues in this fandom. The person reporting it didn't get banned anywhere to my knowledge.
Thank you for conceding every element of my post and only tacking on this weak aside.

What should have happened is the fucking creep babyfur showing off their baby diapers in front of actual children gets banned immediately for exposing their pedophilic fetish to kids. It is in no way a consolation that the other furry wasn't technically banned from other conventions.

EDIT: Hey stupid, you can't contradict me out of one side of your mouth and then agree with me out the other. Who are you fooling?

Throwback to that one furcon where people nutted on a pizza and put it out in the hotel corridor.

The same furcon where a minor said "this person just tried to sexually assault me, be safe out there".

Guess which of the two made rounds.

Furries and sex isn't up for debate at this moment in time. We all know sex is at the core of the community and isn't exclusively a furry idea. Furries have their own unique culture and patterns with sex and that's key to the issue. There's fetishes and behaviours that are unique or more commonly seen with furries. Bestiality and zoophilia wasn't unheard of before furries but it's something that is much more common among furries than any other group of people and is now commonly associated with furry culture.

Normally I would ignore this kind of hate speech, but you can't just do Welsh niggas dirty like this. Furries may be interested in more species overall, but the Welsh were the OGs.

The Welsh story is interesting because at the time that it was a Thing, the sentence for theft of sheep was so severe that they opted for the lesser sentence for the degeneracy of fucking the sheep.

And honestly, that’s why animal fucking continues to be a thing. The sentence is lesser if caught, and the victims can’t say no.

I found out a lot of the States are lax or have no laws with bestiality from hearing about zoophiles/zoosadist furries like Glip, Eevee, and Marl moving to states that haven't criminalized bestiality, or Wild-Life/Allison Reed/Allison Curtis getting away with dogfucking for years even though there's photographic and video recordings of her abusing her dogs.

Animals are considered property and farmers have consistently lobbied against bestiality laws (and improved animal welfare laws) in fear such laws would make their day to day operations more difficult or some of their practices illegal.

They're right to fear that because some common farming practices would be considered bestiality if done for any reason other than farming purposes.

Lawmakers can write in an exemption if needed. There's no accepted farming practice that involves raping a sheep. Or any other animal.

Animal husbandry uses tools like turkey basters, not body parts.

You're mostly right. Almost every state has an explicit bestiality law (with exceptions carved out for commercial interests), but it's not always that easy to prosecute it. The problem usually stems from either the level of evidence being needed is too high or they're so inundated with other crimes and investigations that they don't have the resources to pursue some crazy bitch diddling her Dalmatian. Unless they're scooping them up for something else already and need the bestiality to stack charges against them to pressure them to plea out, or they're caught in the literal act, they can get away with it.

I especially don't get it in cases where they're distributing videos of themselves fucking animals. What more could you ever possibly need?

Someone doesn't know anything about what farmers actually get up to. Jerking off a bull and inseminating cows is a regular practice in the cattle/dairy industry and that's only the start of fucked up farming practices.

Don't be wilfully ignorant, go vegan.

Jerking off a bull
Farmers wouldn't "jerk it off" these days; farmers use electrical currents on the bull's testicles to stimulate ejaculation which they collect with a funnel.

Don't be wilfully ignorant, go vegan.
I'd rather subject a billion bulls to electro-cock and ball torture than entertain the notion of veganism.

You can be a minor today, register to be a panelist on an 18+ panel at the biggest furry convention on Earth, and so long as you turn 18 years old by the day of the panel, it's A-OK with them.
i literally do not see an issue with this unless you believe that a person is a googoo gaga cocomelon watching little baby at 17 and 364 days, and then suddenly turns into a rugged marine at 18

You'd think that would be all that's needed. But there's people who get away with animal rape because furries are complicit in the bestiality directly or they enable it because it's their friends, and "Kiwifarms harassment" is often cited as why. Even if the proof didn't originate on here or hosted here. Most people that know Floraverse or Glip know that Floraverse is bad news, but there are idiots who honestly think that Kiwifarms is the only reason why they're hated, and every piece of evidence is made up by Kiwis. People have Kiwifarms Derangement Syndrome. Liz Fong NoDong Squareface Jones tried to force an anti-Kiwifarms blocklist onto everyone on Bluesky and ended up pissing everyone off because he put a troon he didn't like on the blocklist and even other lolcows told him he was wrong and that he was the one who admitted to having a "consent accident" and Kiwichuds didn't make it up. We just helped him learn that he can't censor the entire internet because he raped someone and a forum where free speech is allowed doesn't let him live it down.

The issue is the implication that they've been murrsuiting enough that they can impart their wisdom gained in their teenage years unto other adults. Nothing would be lost by simply requiring them to be 18 years old at the time they apply for a panel long in advance. You don't need to employ the extreme black-and-white logic that you're invoking to see the problem, and fix it effortlessly.

If your community is already suspected to be facilitating the sexual exploitation of minors, then don't expressly allow people who are minors today to plan 18+ panels about their sexual experiences as a minor to adults at the all ages furry convention. Furries don't need to hear from young adults who turned 18 years old on the day of the convention about their sexual knowledge derived from their time as a teenage furry. That's fucking crazy.
EDIT: Small typo.
