I don't think sexual assault victims are more likely to become pedophiles, but I think pedophiles are very likely to self report that they were sexual assault victims. A lot of them might be lying as a means of making excuses for why they are the way they are.

Personally, I'm still not convinced that Destiny was a victim of sexual abuse. Maybe he was. But he's a weasel who likes to make excuses for his behavior, and I just don't know if I believe his story.

I'm sure I've said it before, but I think Destiny just believes in consent on a technicality. As long he tells a girl how it will be and they agree to it, I don't think he cares too much about whether or not they really know what they're getting into. (I hate that I agree with Max.) The way he dismisses the side girls he fucks who develop feelings for him tells me that he doesn't actually care about anyone's well being but his own. And I think to really care about consent, you have to care about other people's well being. I really believe most of Destiny's morals really just come down to how he's perceived.
