Jet and Ben explaining how to be a plant to the fish has been a fun segment so far. They've been perfectly clear about what is going on with the show at this point, except about the number of new contestants coming in to Famous House Redux. We have five fish now, so my educated guess is either five or seven more. Five, to match the original cast, or seven, to meet the originally intended number of twelve contestants. EDIT: I forgot there was an elimination- so four fish, add six or eight.
Production spelled out that Ted was pulled for being a self-plant / saying TTS. More specifically, that he said "TT-" and cut off the "S", showing that he knew he wasn't supposed to be saying TTS. The reason I mention this again is that production said that Ted would have been a good plant - but his fuck up was holding back on that S. As was stated at the time by Binx and others, TTS is innocous if you're a streamer / online at all. So, if that comes up again - just roll with it.
They also noted that Luke was pulled for escalating too quickly with the pots & pans, pumpkin tossing, and Simbal pushing because he was "not matching the emotional temperature of the house," which these fish have to strive to do. Production blames themselves for this, saying that it was their fault for not giving Luke any direction. (Facepalm...)
Despite the past couple of days being sort of nontent due to the cleaning (I wish they had still tried to do some sort of planned content), this segment has helped build anticipation, at least for me. It may scratch that itch of wanting the Famous House bit to have lasted longer. Even Burt seems to be getting it, despite still asking about the blue balls Simbal was sorting. If there truly is an elimination tonight, I hope it's Burt that goes, even though it won't happen. He will most likely trash the Famous House Redux bit immediately with his incessant schizo theorizing.
Hope it's not all 100% bullshit gaslighting - I'm actually excited to see Act 3 now.
