One thing mentioned in the plant training - production stated to the fish that show will go beyond the planned six weeks if all the OG fish are eliminated, just leaving the new ones.
Doesn't sound believable - starts to play into the "famous neighborhood" bit. But, does provide extra motivation to not just team kill each other right away.

I'm very suspicious about the whole thing, I think it's all a gaslight. I don't know what they really have planned but I'm very suspicious that the "new fish" will actually be fish from previous seasons. I'd assume no one from the fist part of the season 2 episode they watched would be included which means Jimmy could be possible since they cut the episode right before Jimmy shows up.

Weren't there mentions that a lot of the old fish are in the area? Someone on the PPV chat mentioned Shinji's in Boston, might've been on his stream a few days ago.

Yeah I posted about that. They were in Providence the last couple of days and I think it's highly likely theyre a part of the new fish. I think Letty has been around Providence for a while (no idea where she actually lives)
But Abi lives in the south, so her being in Providence is definitely unusual

I'm late to the Cole debate, but since nothing is going to happen today anyway we might as well devolve the thread back into debating about Cole. This topic is a favorite of mine.

A lot of people seem to hype focus on Fish for the content they make as individuals. They often stop their analysis of a Fish the moment a Fish makes any kind of content. We hardly ever reflect on the importance of that content in relation to other Fish. Fishtank is a web of relationships and social dynamics. These relationships and social dynamics play a key role in content generation. Not every Fish is a Jimmy or a Jon,. Some Fish are reactive, and some are proactive. Reactive Fish need Fish who are proactive in order to be motivated to do shit and get involved.

Not only was Cole good on his own with TTS, causing a massive portion of the audience to rally behind him during his time on the show, but he was vital to this web of social dynamics. As a result, his mere existence and day-to-day life on the show made others make content. Nearly every major "arc" and the resulting content in the first ten days related back to Cole. The chip stealing arc was heightened by Cole's ignorance of his crush, JC, being the chip thief. One of the main reasons the guys of the house went up to confront JC and Jimmy made a big scene was out of a desire to save Cole. Cole's rivalry with Brian was also an important arc in the first ten days. It's the reason why CK was brought on to the show, and resulted in many lulz based around Trish kissing Cole for chips while playing it off with Brian. Finally, the rivalry eventually evolved into the Richs vs. Poors arc. Again, this directly centered around Cole's arrogance. They had an entire therapy session dedicated to trashing the guy, then Sam took him aside to give him the Production stamp of approval of main character. In many ways, Cole was the show for those first ten days.

A big reason why the audience liked Cole is that he shared the same sentiments. He did not like the reveal and he critiqued re-used and one off bits heavily. You don't have to agree with him, but he was seen as a man of the people for these views.

Spoiler: no, Cole was not coddled

Coddling only works insofar as the Fish receiving the coddling is receptive to it. The xbox given to Cole and the subsequent gaming session by Sam came the day after the group therapy session in which it was solidified that Cole was house enemy #1. The xbox was not an attempt to get Cole to stay. If it was, it was a horrible attempt because Cole had been critiquing one-off bits like it ever since the show was revealed. Cole made his fears very clear to Sam after the "poor people suck" speech. He was worried that he would be completely alienated from the rest of the house now that the group therapy session united them all against him. He had no allies, and he wanted one badly. The gaming session with same did the exact opposite of what Cole wanted. It wasn't to make Cole feel coddled, it was to make the other Fish even angrier at him due to perceived special treatment, and it did a very good job at doing this.

Cole only "left" after he believed he was being made into a lolcow like Jon, which he was. Sam basically said he would have support from them, but they put him through a boxing match with Jimmy (a notable unstable person) and then made him hold pads while Sam beat them without holding back. It's like dipping a piece of glass between warm and cold water. One minute he's being told he's Production's guy, the next he's being beaten on as if they have no respect for him. Also notice that these two things are what Cole was constantly criticizing the show for, one-off bits that made no sense and rehashed challenges. After Cole went up into his room and started ranting, that's when Ben was sent up and told Cole to pack his stuff. That is a kick. We have on video a member of Production coming up and telling Cole to get off the show for his replacement. If it wasn't a kick and Ben was just coming up to tell Cole to pack his stuff for le funny bit, then Production would once again be showing that they cannot help themselves and have to attempt to poke and prod the Fish for an attempt at a funny moment. If Production would have shut up and let Cole vent, he likely would have stayed like he did after every other talk with TTS. Better yet, maybe take Cole aside and explain that it wasn't personal? You know, like they did with Letty in season one? It worked then.

Production has a fundamental issue with letting the Fish be. They always have to do more and more and more. They can't let the Fish debrief, even when it's needed. They did the same thing this season and plenty of other times throughout season two. Production has seemingly lost the ability to understand that they are not the show. The Fish are. Because of this we see some of the greatest Fish in the show's history getting pushed off because Production feels like their egos have been hurt and they want to prove to the audience that they don't need them. This goes all the way back to season one when Jet admitted a big reason why Jon was given the boot was because he didn't like how people believed Jon was the show. But sometimes a Fish is the show, and they are worth keeping around from both a content and financial standpoint. The faster they learn this the better.

Cole was a good Fish. You don't have to like him, but he was an integral part of the show's quality for the first ten days of season two. There's plenty more to discuss, and I can probably write like 10 pages worth of shit on this topic, but I think I've addressed the main grievances people have with Cole enough already. He was a good Fish.

Especially when none of the fish really like Burt; there is no way she leaves first, unless she messes up and at that point it would be her own fault.

Trying to get Burt to not act like Burt is an overcorrection with the team. Burt is all of his quirks and his oddities. I think Burt trying to curb that will only make him act out more. We'll see how it goes.

He would be the easiest to vote off but from an audience perspective, my favorite part of the earlier days was Burt going off the rails every time he was in a room alone while everyone else sort of existed. But from the competition perspective, he absolutely needs to go before Slimeball and Payton (and Mizzy). Mizzy needs to wake up.

Production was desperate to keep Cole on the show because Fish were dropping like flies. Summer, JC and Megan had left in rapid succession. To me the Xbox was an attempt at pleasing Cole to keep him on the show.

Binxx has declared Simbal a "narcissistic sociopath" and hasn't spoken to him since week 1 when she yelled at him because "every word out his mouth is a lie" and he "sucks", he just keeps getting immunity. She advises Burt not to keep talking to him because it makes him look dumb. Also Simbal needs to be eliminated because there's nothing you can do to him that would make him walk. She's struggling about having to fake being her day 1 personality again.
Burt is spiralling a bit knowing that everything was done to "fuck with him", but was still wondering if Simbal having a non-American accent and collecting only the blue balls means anything (it's been clarified to him by Production that there's no meaning to that). He's pretty sure that Fishbunks aren't real because Sam didn't try to dissuade him from spending his Fishbucks (Binx and Mizzy are trying to explain that Sam is happy to not have to pay them).

Elimination is happening before the new fish, supposedly.

If the plan is to use previous fish, they can't use anyone the current fish have seen. They've seen Shinji, Summer, Tay, Trisha, Cole. and TJ from the season 2 episode. They've seen Fatty from the coloring book, and possibly others.

If they're bringing fish in for the next two weeks, assuming these weren't also in the coloring book, they've got:
Letty and Abi (more or less confirmed)
Jimmy (near by, has a common enough name or could use a fake name)
Jon (might be too hard to wrangle, is a TTS voice),
