Solu-Cortef injections are for two situations:

1. You are in adrenal crisis and trying to not die. Oftentimes someone else needs to do the shot for you, because you may be unconscious. This is followed by an immediate trip to the ER to get stabilized.

2. You are vomiting too much to keep pills or anything else down for over a day. People who actually have Addison’s will straight up die without taking cortisone multiple times a day, every day for the rest of their lives. It’s like being type 1 diabetic and not taking your insulin. Your body needs it to be alive and does not naturally produce it.

Victoria does not appear to be in either of these situations.

I really don't envy her once she loses the only shield she has in her youth, because pressure sores when you're carrying that much fluid are fucking nightmare fuel, and she's making herself actually immobile at an increasing rate.

Heart is I reckon what's taking the most damage from the one-two punch of testosterone and corticosteroids. But as you point out, the effects of flopping on her ass and totally deconditioning herself will probably take precedence long before she manages to die of a bodybuilder/pro wrestler style heart attack at 40.

We have talked about it in the thread before: she claims to have "secondary Addison's" (a condition that does not exist) and the whole thing probably sprung from some quack doctor telling her that her adrenals were tired.

I was thinking that before too when I read those posts. She seems to think the professors are like her parents. In reality, they probably get annoyed when she once again fails to show up to class (and that's only because they know they will probably have some paperwork to do after they fail her out and she complains about it) and then stop thinking her entirely until her next missed class/assignment when she gets 10 seconds of annoyance again.

She seems to have that munchie/pooner/Tumblrina personality type where you see yourself as a permanent child, and see every adult authority figure you interact with as a parental figure, who is therefore responsible for centering you and managing your feelings (and if they don't do that they are Bad)

Emily is an extremely conceited and smug munchie extraordinaire who has deluded herself into believing she’s scientifically literate. She has every non-falsifiable “illness” known to man, and gets advanced spinal surgeries about thrice a week (without ever improving from her fake illnesses, but that goes without saying I guess). I would love for Vix to interact with her more!

Anyway, of course Vicky immediately has begun researching occult tethered cord, which partly is diagnosed through urodynamics.

My guess is she thinks she's the most important student and the university situation will work the same way the high school situation did (where the teachers, presumably, were heavily influenced by her parents to put up with her bullshit), not realizing:

- she is no longer a cute teenager with depression that people would feel sympathy for
- she is an adult now, nobody will sort out her accommodations for her and the professors do not need (and in fact, shouldn't) just take students at their word when it comes to time and resources consuming accommodations
- she comes across as incredibly entitled and it's very clear she's not interested in doing any work
- she already was in this exact situation before, during her first attempt at university, and just wasted a ton of resources, got the uni some negative attention and then bounced, after undoubtedly being shitty to them and trying to pressure them to let her stay a student despite her doing literally nothing. They're not going out of their way to help her again.
- her parents are fed up with her bullshit
- even if they weren't, even rich parents don't have as much pull with university professors as they do with high school teachers
- her professors have a lot of students and do not have time to be thinking about her

I am looking forward to the end of this semester. If somehow she passes her classes, I will be the MATIest person.

I think she is because her face is shaped like that. People who actually have Addison’s don’t get that weird moon face — People taking way too many corticosteroids and/or who have Cushings (sort of the biological opposite of Addison’s, can be induced by too many corticosteroids) do.
